sa gasolina, oo matakaw ang AT, pero sa electrical concerns-- hindi...irrelevant ang battery life sa transmission

Maybe. Parang mas mabilis nga palitan sa A/T cars ang battery kesa sa M/T.

car batteries are usually for there for starting the engine.

once the engine is running, the alternator takes over.

I think, the context of that idea is that, A/T vehicles rely exclusively on battery power to start the engine. M/Ts can be push-started if needed so. This is why it pays to have jumper or booster cables in the trunk for those instances that the battery decides to fail on you (or because you were stupid enough to leave your headlights on).

I think we've replaced our Crosswind clutch once. At 40,000 kms (our driver at the time was a clutch-driver. Now at 190,000kms (or close to it) on just the second.

But then, with all the people saying na nakakangawit ang M/T, I've yet to see any of them qualify the kind of clutch they're using and on what engine. So it's become sort of a generalized statement, short of being a cliche.
Too true. They likely haven't driven anything as bad as my cars... ;) But I've never felt hard put by the Crosswind's clutch.

Of course, the contrary is also true... people who say ATs are all boring or don't give you control haven't driven all kinds of ATs, either.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

parehas po tayo sir. actually sir kahit M/T ang cars ko, when it comes to highway driving parang matic din ang dala mo dahil bihirang-bihira lang gumamit ng clutch, and maintaining speeds at 80-100kph is very tiring.

sa totoo nga lang yung right leg ko (near the knee part) mas malaki na ang muscle compared sa left leg ko. nakakangalay sa right leg/foot ang highway driving whew.

It actually depends on how bad the traffic is. Bumper to bumper traffic from Southwoods (SLEX) to SUCAT or Bicutan (yes we experience this before) really strains my knee.

Stop and go traffic situation isn't that bad.

also depends on the car and the seating position. driving my manual pajero is harder than driving a manual lancer in traffic. that said, i still prefer to use my automatics when driving on traffic days.
