March 3rd, 2018 10:15 PM #82Yes po I also think it's not a good idea to put the baby with the dogs in the car. I was thinking of when the baby gets older and stronger, only then can he/she be with the dogs in the car. I will have to get the advise of the doctor regarding this matter. Thanks for your advice regarding safety. By the way, do you have a particular recommendation of which car suits my needs?

March 4th, 2018 02:19 AM #87Well... the other car I drive besides the Santa Fe is a Japan surplus 1997 Granvia, which, at 4715x1800x1965mm, is bigger than the Starex GRX in all dimensions. And I mostly drive alone, with 1-2 passengers at most, except on Sundays. [emoji23] First time I drove that van I felt like driving a freaking bus, but now its like driving any other car, with the added plus of pretty much everyone giving way due to its intimidating size. It starts reliably every morning, has a comfy ride, safe and proven steering conversion, and offers great engine performance, and that's good enough for me.
And then again, I did post the Starex's dimensions. It is hardly any longer, actually narrower, and only slightly taller than the Santa Fe, and shorter in length than the typical midsize sedan. Huge interior space was made possible due to the semi-bonnet design.
IMHO safety for the kid in the presence of the dogs shouldn't be compromised as long as the kid isn't allergic to them and the dogs are vaccinated, kept clean and well behaved. And don't forget to vacuum out the car after every trip with them!
