When buying used cars ... compute for 10% depreciation per year ... used cars between 3 to 5 years have the ideal deal for buyers ...

Also better to buy Japanese for cars more than 5 years old ...

Yes sir. Nagbabasa pa po ng mga reviews and post dito sa forum.

    Priorities ko po
    1. Looks (subjective siguro)
    2. Driving dynamics
    3. Fuel Consumption
    4. Maintenance and Part availability

Will be using it primarily for daily driving, around 40kms a day

Personally, I'd go with the newest Accent or Soul CRDi that fits the budget. Good performance plus excellent fuel efficiency on cheaper diesel fuel make them the living definition of having your cake and eating it too.

I don't know how parts availability is for you in Cebu, but it would be prudent to choose a brand that you are sure has readily available parts in your area.

When buying a 2nd hand for example the year model is 2016 as indicated in the car registration. But it was purchase on let say May 2017 as indicated in the c.r. and o.r. date. So the car is 2016 or 2017? and when applying for car insurance which year will they follow?
