Any tips planning to buy old model corolla

Noted po boss? Pero bakit po kaya masura yung ibang brand compared sa corolla sa gli? Ano po yung factor dun? Yung abundance ng pyesa ng gli corolla? Or nas performance?

Brand choice is a personal one. Toyota just happens to have a wider network of dealers.

If I were to look for a 90s era car compact car, it has to be a Civic EK (96-00).

90s Hondas are still quite expensive. I doubt you'd find a decent unit for 70k. For around 100k, you may be able to find a decent City though. Doesn't look much but is thrifty and packs a decent punch for a 1.3.

Most likely though you may end up with a Sentra. Probably an EX Saloon with the 1.4 engine. With the horrendous traffic and cramped streets in Metro Manila, you'd probably appreciate better fuel efficiency over additional horses. Kind of barebones, but there's always Banawe for that.

I have an uncle who drove his itlog Lancer GLXi for almost 20 years. He bought it brand new in 1994, and sold it sometime in the early 2010s. It had well over 200tkms mileage by then since he used to go back and forth between Baguio and Manila regularly, before he finally settled down in Baguio. When he sold it, the paint was worn and the trunk lid had a hole due to rusting, but the engine was still running fine.

But then, the B14 Sentra is a newer and, IMHO, more timeless design. If you get lucky, you might even find airbag and ABS equipped units.
