Any tips planning to buy old model corolla

mga sir.. im also planning to buy a 2nd hand sedan.. what wud u recommend for the budget of 70-80k nowadays?? parang type ko kasi lancer pizza and mazda 323 familia na rayban (bigbody) and xempre corolla na bigbody na rin (AE101)... patulong naman po..TIA..

in buying really old cars, i would stick to toyota. a corolla big body, perhaps. it has argueably the most number of parts for sale around. get a gli; the EFI promises to be less of a headache than the carburator'd ones.
or an EFI sentra.

at your budget range, the car will probably need a lot of repair. be financially and emotionally prepared.

thanks for the insights sir... ahm.. madami kasi ako nakita sa FB marketplace na within my budget range.. though i really need some advice pa rin tlg.. u mentioned sir,, EFI na sentra... ano pong sentra sir>?? series 3 po ba? or ung mga ECCS or LEC?? bakit po pala SEntra sir?? salamat po..☺

i see.. actually gusto ko din ung series 3 kasi yun ang car dati ng ofismeyt ko, parati un ang gamit namin sa gimikan.. ok naman sya.. never nagloko during byahe..

last na lang sir.. if ever makakita ako ng pasok sa budget ko.. and let say walang issue/ meaning nagawa na po ang dapat irepair..

mag small body ka na lang. 1.3 carb. matipid yan kung sa city ka lang. makakakuha ka mga 40k-50k. then repairs, maintenance 20-30k. ok na yan, magagamit mo na sya. madami pa naman parts yan. yung iba nga mahal pa ng benta kasi jdm rare paps daw, hehe

the corolla gli.

but sentra is a close second.
i had one for 13 years. good.

the mazda... some people say even the casa has abandoned it.
