I use the X8850BT with an Iphone 6S, never got Waze to function on my HU. I read from an Android forum, Google is dropping Waze support for HUs. They will focus on Android Auto instead, and put Waze there. This is why I was in the market for an Android phone. Although I just bought an Oppo F1S recently, haven't tried out Waze yet.

Yes you can. I'm using a iphone 6s & my wife's previous phone was a 6+ & waze works. Lumalabas siya sa head unit, but a bit sluggish though. Just make sure you have downloaded the apps - Pioneer AppRadio & Appradio Live & sign in to make waze work./show up

Oo nga noh, bumalik na siya! Dati kasi wala talaga yung Waze kahit anong country gamitin under AppRadio. Will try this out tom.

Thanks sir. I got a 2din for my wife specifically for 2 reasons - back up cam & waze. Now hassle nawala yung display ng waze sa headunit when she plugs the iphone 7+.

I thought it was because it has something to do with the iphone 7/7+ new lighting port design where the audio comes out of there instead of the jack port (which they removed in the iphone 7/7+.

Not really sure. Pero if hindi pa latest yung FW nung 2850 mo, try updating it.

Make sure tama din yung smartphone settings sa menu.

Thanks, I did a hard reset on the iPhone 7+ & that did the trick! Now waze is showing again in the head unit!

Btw, how do update the firmware of the head unit?

great, i didn't know they have until. this could be my option if ever i have to upgrade the stock HU and those cheap paper cones at the front. i still have my 165k at the shelves.

I first saw the 2850 installed in my friend's car & I saw it had waze integration. I decided to have one for my wife's car. At first, the waze app didn't show in the head unit, & I couldn't figure out why.

Then when I had steering wheel done by seatmate, they disconnected the battery so as not to accidentally deploy the airbag. When it was connected again, the waze app already showed in the head unit. Maybe you also need to remove the terminals of the battery to reset your head unit & hopefully the waze app would now show (you need to open the waze app so pioneer would add it to one of their apps - see pic below).







For Spotify, yup it can integrate with the 2850 head unit. You can control it too via the head unit or steering wheel controls as well (see pic below).

Since i'm constantly in traffic - 4 hours a day back and forth. I'm seriously considering of having my altis installed a sound setup. I'm more into SQ but depends on the mood,i also listen to music (ex. animals - martin garrix). Variety of old songs to EDM is the music i'm into.

Yes, that system could go loud but of course you can lower down your volume so that you will not wake your neighborhood up. I think that it will be basic but you can ask the shop to make you a good looking one unless their boxes are already pre-fabricated.

Sorry for the late reply. Tried disconnecting the batt, still no go. Anyway, I was reading some threads in diymobileaudio I think, and I'll try change some settings on my HU to see if I can make it pop-up.
