April 1st, 2007 07:16 PM #791Personally, I don't like capacitors. Personal bias, I prefer to have less things in the system. Also less things to spend on. That said, if you really want it, go buy it. It won't hurt. A .5 farad cap will be enough. But if you can buy a 1 farad, then you will get more headroom.
Since your system is for personal listening and not for competition, I suggest that you try it without a capacitor. If you notice your lights dimming when the bass hits, then a cap might help you.

April 3rd, 2007 09:00 AM #792ammad,
Forgot to ask what kind of system are you building. SQ or SPL or combination of the 2 called SQL? What's your equipment and budget? What kind of music do you listen to?
This info will help in determining what you should get.

April 4th, 2007 10:19 PM #794HU the best for me (subjective) are Alpine and Pioneer. Pioneer is cheaper, you can get a good mp3 player for less than 5K. Di pa nanimili ng CD.
Speakers, go with 6.5 or 5.25 seperates or good quality coaxials. Seperates are usually, not always better. Stay away from 6x9 hindi na uso.
One or two subs sre both good. It depends on what you want. Just put them in the proper enclosure/box and give them enough power.

April 7th, 2007 08:32 PM #799Baka pwede. I'm not sure. Can someone pls verify if this is possible.
If you have a dual voice coil sub, I think you can bridge one channel and connect to one voice coil and do the same for the other channel and voice coil.
Theoretically it can be done. But I've never tried or seen it done.
