April 29th, 2007 09:10 PM #815Ok lang 200 watts to your sony sub. Easy to drive ang sony subs. Try it 1st kung bitin ka then you can always add a bigger amp.
1. Ohm is a measure of resistance. Lower number means less resistance. Most amps can only play into 2 ohms. A few high end competition amps can do up to 1/2 ohm loads but they are very expensive. Generally giving your amp a load that is lower than what it can accept is a good way to kill an amp.
2. You said your seps are rated 60 watts. 120 watts will be too much for it. Might blow your tweeters. You can normally give a speaker more power than its rating but double is pushing it.

April 30th, 2007 09:12 AM #817Accrording to the test report you mentioned , channel 1 and 2 produces 58 watts each. So its actually 58x2 for your fronts. Perfect match for your 60 watt seps.
Difference betwen dvc and svc is versalitity. You can use a dvc as svc or dvc and you have more wiring options. But if you are comparing the same model they should sound the same.

April 30th, 2007 07:27 PM #819Pakabit mo lang seps. You will get the 55 watts. Wag mong sabihin sa installer na ikabit sa "dynamic power" tatawanan ka noon.
In your case, marketing ploy ng mtx yung rms and dynamic power. Your amp has an unregulated power supply. This means that your amp will produce its rated power at 12 volts but give out more juice when fed 14.4 volts. If you noticed they rated rms at 12.5 volts this is the normal voltage of a car battery. They then claimed dynamic power at 14.4 volts. Your car will usually delvier 14.4 volts when it running. So more often than not, you will get 55 watts per speaker.
It seems that you have your heart set on getting 400 watts to your sub. Just tell the installer to bridge channel 1 and 2 and connect it to one voice coil and bridge channel 3 and 4 and connect to the other voice coil. Your sub will see 400 watts. Note if you do this you need another amp for your seps.

A 70/30 water to coolant mix may improve cooling efficiency but that's at the cost of less...
Coolant...
