Anything I can apply to the paint before applying Collinite 845? Bought Mother's Speed Clay 2.0 to decontaminate the paint before wax application. I'm a beginner but I want to wash and wax my car personally until it becomes too tedious.

Car is just 3 weeks out of the Casa.

its ideal to polish whenever or after you do claying. all in one products like klasse aio/carlack 68 and other light polishes/swirl removers can enhance your 845. since bago pa naman car mo, you can do the basic wash and wax. clay only when you see and feel dull at magaspang na yung paint. invest in good microfiber cloths for washing & drying. the 1st 5 pages of this thread provides a good example on how to properly wash your car...

^ enjoy your new car. you can't avoid swirls and scratches, but as long as you keep it regularly clean and waxed, you can maintain the shine.

Dealers, usually wax the car using cheap wax so best to remove the old wax layer ... some use dish washing soap to remove old wax this but be careful not to do this regularly ...

Thanks was wondering about dish soap to remove the first wax layer too. Is Okay to use Joy also any automotive products that can be used to strip wax?

just dilute the dish soaps.. if its strong you can remove or strip off the factory clear coat...😉

you can also use diluted IPA or isopropyl alcohol 50:50 with water to strip the wax or before applying wax. as simple as spray and buff

Sad day today. My 5 year old Aquatak Pressure Washer just died today.

Looking on the brighter side, now I'm on the hunt for a new one. Any pressure washer brands with a longer hose? Para hindi na bubuhatin yung motor just to reach the other end of our AUV? Thanks!

Bigla na lang sya nagcreate ng weird noise, sounds like an engine running without oil. Then unti unti ng nawala pressure, then amoy burnt na yung motor.

that's sad nga. mine is nilfisk brand i bought from Ace Hardware about 4yrs ago, so far ok pa naman. di rin gaano kahaba yung hose, i need to move it around especially yung s.grandia ang i-wash [emoji3]

My car is only a month old and gusto ko sana i wax for paint protection. Weekly ko siya kinacarwash using ONR Wash and Wax. Okay lang ba kahit i wax ko siya using Collinite 845 (Insulator Wax) without claying/polishing since it might damage the paint if di pa ko marunong. I think the paint naman is still in good condition meron lang onting water marks. What will be the bad effects if there are water marks na maapplyan ng wax if ever.
