Ah I see thanks for clarifying the difference. Ano po pala yung mar? Tiyaka same din po ba siya ng clay bar na nadikit yung contaminants sa clay part niya or parang nilolosen niya lang yung contaminants so that when you wipe it after claying it matatanggal ng microfiber towel yung mga contaminants?

nice wax. marketed as hi-temp, pang tropical climate. i read good reviews sa mga finish kare products like polishes.

i think this is similar to the klasse high gloss sealant glaze. matipid eto at ang tagal bago maubos. di ba mam Cathy? i'd rather partner it with its twin carlack 68 o complete which is an all around cleaner/polish. yan ang gamit na gamit since pwede ipanlinis sa paint, glass, plastic trims, engine bay, door sidings, and every nook and crevices. maybe naka 2 containers na ng carlack complete o 68 di pa nakalahati yang carlack long life

paint marrings are fine/hairline/micro scratches left behind during claying and polishing with pads. you can type paint marring in google search and look at the images. check also holograms para madifferentiate mo magka-marring during claying if you dont spray enough clay lube. you need to knead din yung clay from time to time para yung contaminants na dumikit sa clay ay hindi mag rub sa paint. saka bago ka mag clay, dapat nahugasan muna mabuti yung sasakyan else kung may dirt gaya ng fine sand at dumikit sa clay, yun din ang gagasgas sa paint. another cause ng marring ay kapag magaspang yung clay, madali nga makaalis ng contaminants but may fine scatches o marrings naman. that's why kung mag clay ka, dapat followed by polishing/finishing na rin to get rid mga swirls at scratches at well prepped yung paint bago i-wax.

good explanation on marring by monty

in addition, "marring" is used instead of "mar"

I think marring results to bad reflections, non linear reflections, not-mirrorlike qualities. It could be shiny and even super glossy, but close inspect will reveal areas where extra buffing is required or even paint correction is needed.

I've used the Collinite trinity, and here are my observations:

Shine: Hi-temp is more glossy, whereas Collinites give a warmer glow.
Slickness: Equal to 467. The 845 and 915 feel more slick to the touch.
Beading: Much better than the Collinites (drove through a downpour yesterday).

No change in color, unlike the 915 which gives a rich, warm glow. The Hi-Temp produces a hard gloss, seems like a very thin layer of clear coat.

The comparison is on a pseudo-black car (Honda's Midnight Burgundy Pearl color).

I won't be able to test durability, as I usually wax twice a month, sometimes more

Thanks for the very detailed explanation sir monty. After claying pala talaga mas maganda parin kung mag popolish para mas maganda pagkaready ng paint for waxing/sealant.

I got it for $15 off Amazon (~PHP750 ftw) which is a great value.

I have not found any for sale locally, although you can get some from eBay for almost PHP2,000 shipped which is too expensive IMO. Lazada also has one for even more, ~PHP2,300 shipped.

if you have the means to buy online, you might want to check out other carnauba waxes in autogeek, then check if offered in amazon..

some of the waxes i have and i am using are pinnacle souveran, blackfire midnight sun, cg butter wet wax, victoria concourse red wax, collinite 915, bilt hamber finis wax. for sealant, yung blackfire wet diamond all finish paint protection, wolfgang deep gloss, cg v7, and menzerna powerlock ang nasubukan ko maganda. i stopped buying detailing products na 2 yrs ago dahil kapag naipon, mahirap maubos.

But nowadays... ang uso na sa karamihan coatings.... ceramic, glass, diamond, nano, titanium... dami nang names!haha

yes, all of those are having good reviews, pero iba pa rin yung resulta sa actual than sa review. some are claiming outstanding shine and extended durability pero nasa pagka-prepped ng paint surface ang sekreto. and you are right, coating na ang "in" ngayon. but yung iba kahit naka-coating na, still wants the old skul way of papahid-pahid ng wax and papunas-punas . iba pa rin kasi yung personal touch, nahihimas mo ang sasakyan

And agree, very important ang pagka prep ng paint.

Kakapagod and time consuming nga lang talaga

I applied Meguiar's Ultimate Fast Finish last week. Let's see how long it lasts. Sabi sa bottle protects for a full year or over 100 car washes daw.
