wow! very durable yan if 24 hrs curing plus 2nd coat, then topped with carnauba wax. no doubt well protected ang car paint mo sa contaminants. if you have the luxury of time and patience, who needs glass/ceramic coating?

    *monty,
One time ko pa lang nagawa un sa dami kong products sa bahay. Haha not perfect though. Feeling ko kailangan ko pa ng mas matinding polish. Kaya I want to try out megs m205.

Pero manipis talaga clear coat ng honda eh. Kahit ilang beses mo i-perfect ung paint, after ilang washes, may swirls na naman.

If my car is perfect, no dings or dents, and the paint is perfect, I would still go for ceramic/glass coating. Hehe

Sabi ko nga perfect ung mga coatings sa new cars. Para hindi ka rin mahirapan mag-maintain and it would last for years if properly cared for.

Actually I frequent the carwash nearby since im not allowed to wash the car myself here sa condo. But, the carwash claims to use Meguiars. Im thinking of buying my own wax and having them ise that instead of theirs.

how many steps do they have for waxing? if you want that wetlook, paint preparation is important.

Many car wash shops have Meguiar's banner displayed but they don't really use those products ... maybe only when they detail ...

True... and even if they do, sobrang konti lang nilalagay nila parang dab on several areas then spread them out thru wiping.

less is more daw kasi sa car waxing [emoji4]

better still, buy your own wax and bring along in your car so everytime magpa wash ka, you can ask them afterwards to apply wax as thick as you like. or you can wax your car at home...

I agree.. wax should be applied thinly but evenly naman din. What i see most carwash shops do kasi is like dab just 1 per side and expect it to be evenly spread out to the entire car na. Not generalizing though... i let my constant carwash shop apply my own wax and they really do it properly, even checking every so often if may mga missed spots.

My car hasn't been to a car wash since it was out of the casa. I do the washing myself including polishing and waxing. Reason being is that I don't want my paint to be messed up. Just last week in a mall's open parking where they have newly installed very bright white lights, kitang kita mo talaga ang damage sa paint. Some does look new and shiny from a far and some look dull already but one thing is common -- swirlmarks. Sa carwash kasi, one bucket method lang. Tapos circular motion pa from washing to waxing to buffing. Kaya as much as possible hindi ko talaga ako nagpapa carwash.
