I use clay sponge and clay pads. They are washable, reusable, and cost effective. I stopped using traditional clay bars few years ago.

+1 on this and agree with red_one's comment.

But t still worth it overall

Meron bang life span in terms of storage ang clay bar? I still have one unused optimum clay bar that I bought probably around 2012-2013 during the "PinoyDetailing.com" days pa (btw, mukhang nawala na yung site na yun). Napansin ko kasi dun sa used bar, mahirap na syang iknead (though medyo matigas talaga optimum clay bar if compared to Mothers clay), saka nag break na sya into pieces.

May lifespan din pala yan. So if bibili pala ako better check din yung manufacturing date baka kasi yung iba matagal ng stock noh?

Salamat sir! There was a tip before na parang ibabad sa QD in a small container. Di ko pa lang natry.

store mo lang sa hindi siya ma-dry. some of the clay bars i have mga 3 yrs ago pwede pa naman. even polishes and waxes, kapag matagal na hindi nagamit nag-iba hitsura. some of my polishes naging watery o yung wax nagshrink sa lalagyan kaya better buy lang yung kaya mo magamit else ma stock sayang. pati mga buffing pads at pads ng backing plate sa dual polisher nasisira din kapag nastock. some of my buffing pads na di pa nabuksan at naitago ng matagal, nung ginamit ko naghiwa-hiwalay so again, buy items lang in small quantities lalo maliit lang sasakyan mo.

if you are serious enough to go DIY detailing then invest in the ff,

    - a portable pressure washer, provided na maganda supply at presyur niyo ng tubig. if not, pwede rin timba lang

    - a dual polisher and lots of buffing pads. its faster and more effective sa polishing/paint correction. pwede rin by hand pero darating time magsasawa ka

    - a good polishes/compounds/swirl removers. i did try a few different brands na nababasa ko sa review dati like menzerna, cg, klasse, pinnacle, meguiar, sonax. i settled with meg 105/205, klasse twins at sonax aio. effective sila para sa akin

    - carnauba wax/sealants. kahit anong brand, ang dami, pick your poison na lang. as i said kahit anong mahal na wax balewala kung hindi maganda pagka prepped ng paint surface.

    - others like lots of mf towels, clays, quick detailers, shampoo, plastic trim restorers, wheel cleaners, degreaser, detailing brushes, interior fabric/leather restorers...etc

    - a deep pocket to buy the above and a lot of patience dahil kahit anong gawin mo, hindi mo matatalo si swirl at gasgas

    Thanks for the advice sir.

    - so far no plans to get pa pero pag naka ipon siguro bili rin ako.

-polish wala parin ako pero planning to buy narin. Ang polish lang is diba sir most of the time swirl marks at clear coat scratches lang ang kayan iya diba?

    - Sa wax yes siguro after netong ultimate paste wax ko I might try the nxt or collinite or pag nakaipon kahit meron pa yung ultimate paste wax bili narin ako haha

    - For MF towels onti onti rin ako mag stock ng towels, then clay bar bibili narin ako this month siguro, yung quick detailers yun yung pede gamitin for mabilisang pang linis diba sir kunwari nabird poopan yung sasakyan pede siya gamitin pang lubricate para mapunasan si bird poop? if so ano mairerecommend mo na QD?, shampoo planning to stock narin para di nako bili ng bili pag naubusan, wheel cleaners as of now wala pa, detailing brush planning to get one nadin meron ako nakita sa lazada 695 yung microtex detailing brush 3 brush na different sizes per set, sa interior fabirc/leather restorers wala pa ano ba maganda sir?

    - As of now saktuhan palang laman ng akin bulsa hahaha. Yes sir patience lang talaga di talaga maiiwasan you can only minimize pero di mo siya completely matatangal.

For me okay naman gumastos at worth it naman pagod mediyo fulfilling pag nalinis mo yung sarili mo sasakyan time consuming lang talaga, pero minsan din nag papa carwash nalang ako pag talagang wala ng time and tinatamad haha. BTW sir how do you determine ba if maayos yung car wash shop?

Ang mahirap din kapag medyo may knowledge ka na sa car detailing or even as simple as proper car wash, (two buckets, use of different wash mitts on upper and lower half of the car, top to bottom rinsing, drying, etc) hahanapin mo lahat yan sa mga car wash shops. And probably most them di na papasa sa standard mo.

Very on point sir most of the shops around here does that.

    Try mo to bro:

Nanoskin Autoscrub Sponge Medium Grade - REFLECTIONS CAR CARE

You can ask him many things as well regarding detailing.

if malakas water supply niyo ok na yung hose. forgot to mention vacuum/blower pang drying at panlinis sa interior

yes, kaya quick detailer, pang quick fix. any qd will do naman

aside sa wax, try mo rin sealant. mas durable at mas matipid kesa wax. can't recommend a brand, just buy what you can find and afford

I'll try to find the cheapest qd na known brand nalang.

MAy nabasa ako yung klasse twins sealant ba yun? Same as wax lang ba pag apply niya at pano ang paggamit nun?

Oo nga eh, I'll try looking maybe may makita ako sa fb or google na malapit samin with good reviews.
