Na try nyo rin po ba yung mothers claybar? How does it compare with the cheaper 3m? (When maybe a nanosliq for a lubricant is used with the 3m clay).

What do you recommend for micro scratches and swirl marks? Andami na kasi sa oto ko and i'm beginning to doubt na kaya ko i diy. Im thinking kailangan na i paintshop para ma rubbing compound and buff. If tama yan, how to judge whether the paint shop, their staff and their equipment are competent? Tia

I prefer using clay pad than traditional clay bar. Mas sulit ang clay pad dahil washable and reusable up to sawa. I used clay bar before and 1-2 use lang, tapon na.

Sir for my new car MUX
What are the basic things to buy for
    A. Maintenance of its paint (pearl white)- Regular and proper carwash, (2 bucket method)
    B. Mapakintab/neat/presentable/awesome - pag wala swirls and no fading, lagi yan makintab, but to add a bit more of shine, a synthetic wax or sealant will help, if you have budget, glass coating will give more glass like look, since light colored vehicle nyo.
    C. Remove water marks windows and grills- acid mark remover, non acid ay spotless from carpro and wurth.
    D. What pede pagawa sa carwash at hindi. Minsan kasi di ko alam if salestalk n lng or sometimes sila pa nakaka create ng gasgas :/- always ask then to use a separate wash mitt sa taas at baba ng car, and rinse regularly per panel.
    E. I read chamois is not good so whats the best alternative? - best alternative ay waffle weave towels.

To prevent acid rain on paint we park cars in a covered garage. Joke

    we use wax/sealant/hard coats.

To remove... use a water spot remover from meguairs. There are other ways but that might damage the clear coat/ paint.

Always follow instructions on the label.

    How often do you clay?

I feel like crying now!!! I didn't get to wash my car for 2 weeks (it had 2 layers of blacklight and V-07), now it feels a little grainy. There was a thin film of dust for 2 weeks kasi. I did not think it would affect the paint. It was in covered parking and the only time naarawan was on my short drive going to work. It looks like I have to clay this again. Kaka buff lang ng casa last December

Time to step up to an acrylic based sealant ie cg jetseal or their new c9 product.

Blacklight and v7 are nice but as you described they absorb(melt?) impurities hence the rough surface. The hard sealants/coats would prevent that.

Yes sir, most of them can be found in local stores, but the better brands are found somewhere else. Online resellers, specialty shops.

I washed and did 1 layer of blacklight. I knew something was wrong kasi hindi na nag slide yung towel when I was drying akala ko makukuha sa blacklight, hindi na e.

Hi Ms. C, try rewashing it again, usually if dirt is baked under the sun ng matagal, medyo nadikit sa paint.
IMHO Blacklight and V7 does not protect very well, has poor water beading and sheeting, although they look very good, specially in dark colored cars. We usually use these products pag na sali kami ng car shows.

Mas ok pa jetseal nila in terms of protection.

If kaka buff palang, like what others suggested, a mild prep sponge will do to remove the ingranied dirt sa paint. or KAIO, para non-abrasive parin.

Also did a two wash a few hours ago. Extra clean mitts necessary

    1. Bug&tar heavy duty soak&wash
    2. Megs uww for a light wash. Rinsing already shows good beading
    3. Extra gloss with autglym rapid detailer.
