    1. CUTTING PADS - This is an aggressive pad and meant to remove heavy paint defects like heavy swirls, RDS, etc. You can use these products w/ this pad- Rubbing Compound

    2. POLISHING PADS - This is a mild pad meant to remove light swirls and enhance shine of paint. These are the products you can use w/ this pad- Polishing Compound, Cleaner / Polish.

    3. FINISHING PADS - This pad has NO cut, meaning meant for refining finishes w/soft paint. or wax or sealant application. These are the products you can use with this pad.- Polishing Compound (If you want need a little cut, and want to finish in one step). Cleaner / Polish, wax, sealants, Glaze (depending on the brand, some will be better applied by hand).

    4. WOOL PADS - Most aggressive pads, can be used with Heavy rubbing compound.

    Thank you.

I haven't tried Microtex pads, so I can't comment on how effect or durable these pads are.
I am also assuming you will be using a machine polisher for these pads, am I right?
Thank you sor much for the info sir.

Yes, I'm gonna use a DIY velcro stripped Black & Decker KP600 DA Polisher. Nangangalay nako kka manual detailing session eh hehe. Though I don't intend to use this for heavy fixing of paint defects. Siguro polishing compound at most (light/swirl removal). I guess I could use a Cutting pad to compensate for this? Since mahina lang ang DA polisher. Natatakot kasi ako mag Rotary baka masira ko lalo yung paint.

Actually this will depend sa pad, my cutting pad na kahit polish lang ang gamit mo ay hindi gano refined ang finish, meron pad na kahit cutting compound ang gamit mo, parang ready for wax ka na. So this will depend on the pad & polish combination mo.
Yung DA polisher mo sir, kaya mo idiin ng konti without stopping the rotation of the pad? If mag rotate yung backing plate with pressure then kaya na ng DA polisher mo with mild polishing.

Hi! After reading again about kaio, ksg and collinite...parang mali ata ang ginagawa kong step by step process.

tama na ba itong sequence na ito?

    wash
    dry
    clay
    kaio
    polish (rubbing compound/swirl remover)
    ksg
    collinite 875
    QD (for maintenance)

also any recommendation for glass cleaner/water spot remover?

tama naman steps mo, redundant lang yung kaio at polish. yung kaio ay pwedeng polish/swirl remover na ;)

parang walang collinite 875, malamang 845 insulator wax yan...

Ay uu nga 845 siya. Sorry I was talking about rubbing compound and such but yeah I guess KAIO will be enough. Actually planning to switching 845 for Meguiars white wax kapag nakakita ako.

Hi, new-member here & done back read this thread.. really learned a lot. I had a 3-months old Ford Eve2016 (true-red), for the past 3-mos weekly Wash & QD only as for my maintance. Now that I have some regimens for detailing, as a aspiring-newbie detailer please correct my methods:

Wash >> Microtex WASH & WAX (2-buckets method)
Dry >> Microtex CHAMOI / ELITE TOWEL Jr. / Megs WATER MAGNET TOWEL
Clay >> Microtex NanoSLIQ as for lubricate (diluted in distilled H20.. 1:1)
    Polish >> Megs Ultimate POLISH
Glaze >> 3M Imperial Hand GLAZE
    Seal >> KSG
    Wax >> Collinite 845
Spray Wax >> ??? (Not sure to use TurtleWax ICE Spray Wax, coz it has mild cleaners for LIGHT SCRATCHES & SWIRL MARKS) ???
    QD >> Microtex NanoSLIQ

Need some SUGGESTION / RECOMMENDATION what to use as SPRAY WAX for my maintenance...

Yes bro, that is what we use sa shop namin, it is a good alternative for clay, and easy to maintain also.

Nice car! And welcome to the forum.

I'm assuming that you will not do this process very often.

First your drying towels, if you can, just stick to elite towels, no need for the chamois, get the big one to compliment your existing elite jr, much safer for drying.
For your polish, since your car is brand new and ikaw naman nag wash ng sasakyan mo, you can use KAIO instead, no abrasives, safer sa paint.
The glaze will affect durability of your wax or sealant, you dont need this, KAIO will clean your paint and prep it for your sealant or wax.
Spray wax, ok yung turtle wax, other options, sonax brilliant shine detailer or optimum car wax, personally I use reload, but is a stand alone silica based sealant, and it matches the chemistry ng coating ko.

    Hope this helps

You can do away with turtle wax ice spray wax... you are already using collinite 845 insulator wax. I prefer megs uqw

Megs water magnet... leaves no streaks. I bought two recently. Its slighlty better than turtle wax ice waffle weave imo.

Megs ultimate wash and wax might be better than microtex w&w 😜 the beading is very good with megs uww.

Just wanna share the results of my very first Auto-Detailing (TAMANG-OC lang..), applied all tips/guides learned from this thread and also thanks especially to the master-detailers.

    Dropbox - AUTO-OC

Here's the process & the regimens i've used thru hand application, panel by panel in 12hrs.:
WASH > Microtex Wash & Wax
    CLAY > Claybar(color-blue), lube w/Microtex NanoSliq diluted (distilled H20 - 1:1)
    POLISH > Megs Ultimate Polish
SEAL > KSG (8hrs Curing Time)
WAX > Collinite Insulator Wax 845
    QD > 3M Quick Wax
WINDSHIELD & WINDOWS Treatment > Wurth Rapid Screen Cleaner

Next wash, will try Megs Ultimate Wash/Wax & Ultumate Quick Wax.

Bro upload a video of water beading on the hood on youtube... hehehhe

Ubusin mo muna wash&wax mo before buying a new one. Hirap bumalik sa microtex/other brands once your start using a good wash&wax. You can use 4caps instead of two para mabilis maubos. 2bucket wash twice a week. Good exercise too😆

The beading/sheeting performance will depend on the lsp. You used 3m quick wax. Not sure of its hydrophobic performance, but we will see it hehehe. Anyways after a few weeks/months you can compare the beading based on your youtube video. Its a good reference.

Tried the fine grade or the blue one only. So far so good. Haven't tried traditional claybar so i cant compare. With the medium or orange one, i believe it will marr the paint already. Not a problem though, if you're gonna compound and polish anyways.
