"Tamang OC lang" - a newbie's guide to car appearance maintenance

Mga Sir, panu ba gamitin toh, wala ako pagkitaan kung random orbital ba to oh orbital lang(ikot lang ng ikot). Natatakot ako gamitin baka masira paint eh. May kasama na sya pads, nag search ako ng forums, sabit good for cleaning/polishing lang sya, pero di msyado sa pagtanggal ng haze or wax. pwede pang buff toh? or depende sa pads. Pag apply ng wax yung foam lang yun diba?

Sir patulong naman. Nag kakawatermarks kaagad ang 4 days old na totl everest 2015 ko after lang pag car wash ko gamit ung turtle wax shampoo concentrated. Sumubra cguro ung mixing ko sa shampoo at tagal bago ko na banlawan kasi natagalan ako pag linis ng rim and tires.

Whole body talaga ang mga bakat pati na sa headlights, windshield and chrome sa grilles and tail gate.

Takot ako ipa galaw sa detailing baka gamitan ng abrasive compound mabawasan ang clear coat at baka mag kaka swirl marks.

Na try ko na yung distilled white vinegar in 1/3 ratio (1 part vinegar and 3 parts water) pero ayaw talaga matangal. Yung mga bakat para siyang natuyo na wax na nag kalat sa buong katawan.

Patulong naman mga sir sa safe na pag tangal sa watermarks naiwan sa turtle wax shampoo..

Ganun talaga bro. Gagamitan ng compound yan. sa experience ko, mawawala yan ng kusa, maka ilan car wash ka lang. Pwede mo rin i paste wax or liquid wax (cheap micro magic from blade). Makailan gamit ka lang mawawala din eventually.
Btw di nama basta basta natatanggal ang clear coat ng isang rubbing lang eh. Pwede mo rin subukan ipa clay.

My new frenemy.... megs ult polish.

Fukcing difficult to remove but paint looks amazing. Swirls are minimized. Just have to do the whole damn car then do sealant.

Still on antibiotics medyo hirap lol.

Hmmm. That is strange. I've been using Meg's Ultimate Polish for some time now and I never find it difficult to remove. Same with Meg's Ultimate Wax. Both are easy to apply, work and remove.

Low power, single speed polishers are not intended for paint correction tasks. Foam applicator is for applying wax or polish. Polishing bonnet is for buffing or finishing.

Try Klasse All-in-One, kung bago pa watermark, madali lang yan matanggal, or try carpro spotless, i think ginnova has this one. Both are non abrasive, you just need to work the product in the paint.
Another option with mild abrasives, cleaner wax, try mothers or megs.

Haha! Its a Great product! But it seems you already figured it out how to use it properly.
And just to add, megs ultimate polish uses SMAT technology, just like its big brother M205. Meaning it does not require to work the product in to the paint long, if you work it too long, like more than 6 passes with very slow arm movement, the product tends to clump and hard to remove. Maybe humidity also plays a factor. Anyway hope your next encounter with ult polish, will be better.

Haha! Its a Great product! But it seems you already figured it out how to use it properly.
And just to add, megs ultimate polish uses SMAT technology, just like its big brother M205. Meaning it does not require to work the product in to the paint long, if you work it too long, like more than 6 passes with very slow arm movement, the product tends to clump and hard to remove. Maybe humidity also plays a factor. Anyway hope your next encounter with ult polish, will be better.

every month? once every 2 months? 3 months?

araw araw naka bilad sasakyan (mon to fri), port area ako kaya salty ang hangin.

weekends lang nakakaranas ng may bubong.

It depends on how many times you wash your car and how that car wash is done. If your car wash is gentle, it might last after several washes.

And yes water beading is a good indicator too.
