Big berts or detail studio have lots of options. from basic wax to coats. Good shops have the process printed out on a wall for customers to see. If you have the budget its worth doing it. I dont wash my car but i do the waxing.

Pero mas critical ang surface prep for paint coating dahil whatever imperfection is left will remain there as long as the paint coating exists. Paint coating is like a second clear coat layer. It is hard coating.

For wax/sealant, kahit may maiwan kang scratch/swirl/blemish sa isang panel, pwede mo balikan to correct and re-apply wax/sealant on that panel.

thank you very much, sir for the explanation.

No swirls but super tiny hairline scratches still appear. Machine buffing should fix it when I get time to visit the meguiars center. Dents and deep paint gashes around. Step back 1ft and it looks perfect lol. The egp coating looks great. Looks like thick clear coat.

    Paint grade after 70,000km overspeeding:

    Average joe score: b+ (87-89)
    Detail guru score: c (70-76)

    🙈🙉🙊

EGP is just a sealant and not a coating.

Technically anything you put on a car that is spreadable and stays on there is a coat

Opticoat is a coat = A premium 9H hard coat

Wax (2 layers) = is also a coat but of wax

EGP (2 layers) = is a coat of sealant

    😉

I want CG Jetseal boss hehehe

Question lng mga master. Ok lng ba to wash the car with plain water 3-4 times a week? I wash the car kasi with water if sobrang dusty na or if it rained the other day and then I just use quick detailer to shine. I wax once or twice a month, no covered garage kmi kasi eh. TIA

Rinsing with water only? How do you dry the car?

Sir StockEngine, I only rinse using plain water only (without shampoo) and I dry the car using microtex elite, and if pag may oras pa, I use mequiar quick detailer. Will it damage the paint? What's the worse that can happen if I keep on doing this routine?

It might be too risky to dry your car without a qd, its ok to rinse with water as long as you dry it properly. When i say dry it properly, spray qd on the surface and wipe it dry with a towel, the qd will serve a drying aid and provides enough lubrication to prevent or minimize swirl formation sa paint.
With just rinsing water you are not assured that dirt will be all washed away, so what is really cleaning the paint surface is when you wipe it with a towel. If you do this without a qd or enough lubrication, you will induce swirls or paint marring, in the long run doing this 3x a week will damage the clear coat prematurely and will make its appearance dull.

Ano color ng car mo? You have to use some sort of light to see swirls and scratches in the paint. You need to get close and inspect hehehe.

what i do is california duster otherwise wash with shampoo na. in certain and rare situations ginagawa ko din water lang pero either di ko na pinupunasan or dampi lang or wipe with qd. basta dont wipe or rub dirt on your paint without proper lube (shampoo or qd) water alone is not enough. Pag duster naman light sweeping lang, huwag diin.

to remedy the scratches, use wax/fillers or buff.

No need to worry sir, our cars are bound to have swirls din naman, gusto lang natin ay matagal sila mag accumulate to prolong integrity ng clear coat ng mga sasakyan natin.
Actually the less you touch the paint of your car, the lesser of chances you inflict damage sa paint.
I remember way back, I was able to maintain my red car swirl free. Just by regular washing, i try to avoid doing excessive cumpulsive "QDing", napansin ko na nagkakaron parin ng swirls kahit my QD.
Best parin is carwash, it provides proper lubrication. If gusto mo palagi malinis, use rinseless wash nalang, and use several towels in doing this. Advantage mo lang is hindi gano ka noticeable ang swirls sa light colored cars.
