Two weeks and two (rinseless) washes after application of BFWD (no spray wax or QD applied in the interim):

First attempt failed. Hehe. Ang hirap pala nito.

Started to wash the car around 4am. Fail. Madilim. Pagsinag ng araw, kitang kita yung mga spots na namiss ko.
Nalimutan ko pa magpalit ng washmitt nung below the belt line na yung pinapasadahan ko. :O

Questions:

1. Pwede ba mag wash ng car kahit may araw na? No shade? For example, around 5-7am? May naalala kasi ako na nabasa ko na bawal raw.
2. Pag nagsha-shampoo ba, lahat dadaanan? Pati windows, side mirror, lights, etc.? Stupid question, sorry. Hehe.
3. Sa application ng tire black, yung gilid lang ng tires no? Hindi yung mismong tumatama sa kalsada. Again, another stupid question. :D

Tapos nag pre-wax cleaner pa ako. Ang trabaho pala. )

Ganito kasi ginawa ko - applied Mother's Step 1 using plush. Removed the wax using same plush towel. Mali ata yun, dapat ibang towel gagamitin for removal. Tapos used the same towel for buffing. Hehe. Di ko naapply yung mga naturo niyo, sorry. Late ko na narealize na gumamit ng ibang cloth(ultra plush) for buffing. Wrong timing pa kasi madaling araw, mahamog. :O

1. Dapat ba completely dry yung panels bago apply-an ng kung anu-ano? In this case, yung Step 1.
2. Napagod na rin ako kaya tinapos ko na. Pero after some time sinilip ko. Ang daming puti-puti.
Suspected culprits:
a. hamog - hindi ko ma remove yung wax kasi may halong tubig?
b. maling towel ginamit - puno na ng Step 1 + hamog yung cloth kaya hindi na maabsorb yung residue?
c. naparami yung ginamit na Step 1 - masyado ako maraming nilagay?

Hindi ko na kinumpleto yung routine kasi napagod na ko at sumikat na yung araw. Ulitin ko kaya. :-?

There are devices called gloss meters, which measure the amount of light that a surface reflects. They're not used too often - they're really expensive, and not really something that you'd consider as needed

When I visit blade or ace hardware, I often see a lot of different brands of car wax & polish such as meguires, mothers, eagle 1, formula 1, turtle, microtex, micro magic, DUB etc. My question is, with numerous brands out there in the market same lang ba ang quality nila? or brands do differ in terms of quality of their product?

yung previous 2 weeks na madalas na maulan, i was able to test the effectiveness ng deep crystal carnauba + uqw.
very effective sa shine, slickness and watermarks. never ko nalinisan yung car with that ulan then araw scenario. walang watermarks. kahapon lang ako nakapag linis and then kala ko mag watermarks kasi nga sa weather na ulan then araw pero maganda yung combo na deept crystal carnauba + uqw.

There are of course differences with the different brands available, and even different products offered by the brand, in terms of ease of use, durability, formulation, effectiveness, looks, etc. You'll find that most of us stick to brands like Meguiar's, Mothers, and (locally) Microtex, mainly because these brands are more proven (in terms of results by various users), versus names like DUB, Micro Magic, Waxco, etc. Could there be good products offered by these other brands? Sure, I'd not be too surprised if some of them produce perfectly acceptable results. Thing is though, you're not really sure, so best to spend your money on those products that have been tested and proven to work.

actually, wala pang wax na nakalagay dun sa oto. carwash lang plus step 1. ok lang ba na ulitin ko yung step 1 since sort of mali yung ginawa ko sa kanya? yung mother's step 1 ba is apply, dry, buff, cure din? yung step 2 kasi nabasa ko apply, dry, buff tapos pwede na i-wax agad.

Could you recommend to me a good tire black brand that could last long? My present tire black last only for 3-5 days and after that, the blackness of the tire fade away. hindi na pogi.

ok lang ulitin upang siguradong malinis bago mag wax.
ang M's step 1 ay panlinis kaya punas punas hangga't matuyo at pwede na isunod ang step 2 o step 3/wax.

Local brand - I've actually met the owner, and know some of the people who do pre-release product testing for him.

Which one are you using right now? I've not tested the durability of the Microtex Tire Black strenuously, but it seems to last about two weeks or so.

The Wax As U Dry seems to be an ok product, from what I've read (haven't used it myself), though not as good as Meg's UQW or OCW. Can't recall if I've read any feedback about the other products, sorry.
