Isuzu Dmax LS 4x2 Manual 2011 LS

    Isuzu Alterra 2008 AT 4x4

    1. May twice na nangyari na kapag naka-idle tumaas yung temperature gauge between half and 3/4 - AC On at 2pm.. Auxiliary Fan working at mabilis ang ikot.. Ano kaya possible cause?

    2. Long Drive then Uphill (AC On at 2pm) - Napansin ko umakyat ulit sa between Half and 3/4 and Temperature Gauge. Rev ko kasi engine til 3k RPM.. Pero nung bumaba sa 2krpm to 2.5k RPM lang eh bumaba naman ang Temperature Gauge.. Location was in BOKOD, Benguet from Nueva Vizcaya going Baguio..

Have your engine cooling system checked ... radiator fan, coolant, water pump, etc ... if the engine is too hot, the aircon won't function optimally ...

    vios 2006 (gen 1.5/1.3 L).

mga bros, temp warning light came up.
even when aux fan is running, i still get the temp warning in dash .
no recent change in the system naman, except for brake pad change about 1.5k km ago and lugnut stud issue the other day.
had it checked in jpwheels yesterday, was told that it was a bad fan, their comment was mahina daw. then went to exalta banawe, they said fan looks OK, as well as the water pump and no leak in system (cap also OK); since they could not identify the problem, they can only recommend to have the radiator checked and/or cleaned.

then i realized, i can check the temp via obd scanner, so i did. from banawe to maybunga pasig, temp never went over 98c (prolly cause it was 5:30pm narin). will update my post later around 12nn.
dati until about 98c (or 100c IIRC) ang inaabot ng coolant temp ko sa obd scanner reading via torque app.
ngayon 90c or lowest * 88c nag blink na ang temp warning sa dashboard. issue just started yesterday. naka toyota long life coolant naman, was replaced just about less than 10k km.

at first i thought it was a bad coolant sensor, but i can read naman via obd scanner that coolant temp is fine, so baka di naman sensor. any ideas kung ano pwede problem?

btw AC works fine even when the temp warning came up.

i had similar problem in my 97 sentra.
after i had everything checked, the overheating was still there.
finally, an old-timer advised me, to replace the aux fan. i said, "malakas naman ang hangin." the guy said, check it against a new fan motor".
i did, and the difference was night and day.
ever since i replaced the aux fans, the temp has been behaving.

moral of the story: "looks ok does not always mean, it is ok".

malakas daw hangin bro eh, sabi rin ni bro vinci, check the fan nga din.
isa lang napansin ko kakaiba pala
diba pag naka off ang engine, tapos mainit pa sya. kahit di mo start mag ON ang aux fan saglit. dito ngayon di nag ON, unless buksan ang AC (not 100% confirmed).

Baka dual speed yang fan motor mo.. yung pang AC ay low then pag mainit mag on yung HIGH.

pagbaklas kanina bro, 2 wire lang {+/-)

update lang, sa banawe no mechanic wanted to replace the fan or motor. all of the mechanic there suggested to have the rad checked (ayaw talaga palitan yun aux fan). out of courtesy since i parked in front of toyocars (for an hour), i just bought a new thermostat (12 year old na yun installed)

mang george did the radiator job albeit expensively (broke water inlet), bought one for me * 1.5k (later found out that it was only 950 php in toyocars orig). ok lang as long as maging ok sya. dropped by toyota to buy 4 liters of super long life coolant as he really wanted to use distilled water.
btw yun water inlet had a small leak, and "crumbling" already parang paagnas na LOL

going home, i noticed the temp light warning is still flashing red (intermittently) even when AC is On. and no more coolness felt in the cabin. longest drive home (kahit 1 hour lang), cause of the fear of overheating.
at home, i checked under the hood wow parang hinipan ako ng heatwave! so i reversed the fans polarity and it worked normally na.
BUT still getting the temp light warning even at 95c, dati naman at 98c di lumalabas ito [emoji848]
