But I got the GTS pa din because that's the closest thing to a hatchback.
Hi sir. I'm deciding between the 308 hatch or jetta. Inputs from your experience would be greatly appreciated.

    308
    - hatchback, smaller rear legroom, i can fit my bike with rear seats folded
    - 1.6 li turbo charged gasoline at 165 hp, can do 18 km/li highway (best was 20 km/li), 10-13 km/li mixed
    - very comfortable. Noise, vibration, and harshness (NHV) is very low. Better than the Jetta, and the Jetta is slightly better than the Golf GTS.
    - full LED lights, power folding side mirrors, automatic headlights, rain sensing wipers
    - real leather heated seats, manual adjustment
    - subjectively better cockpit but no support for Apple CarPlay or Android Auto
    - digital signal processing using Arkamys, sounds a lot better than the Fender audio of the Volkswagen
    - no rear view camera but there are front, rear and corner sensors
    - Mas mahal sa Jetta

    Jetta
    - being a sedan, no bikes inside trunk (iinit lang ulo mo)
    - 2 li turbo charged diesel (mas mura) engine 150 hp, didn't reach 18 km/li when I test drove it, I even got 4.6 km/li city. Later on I was told "may singaw" daw yung test drive unit. I was so disappointed, I almost didn't test drive the GTS, but I'm glad I still did.
    - side mirrors don't fold, Bi Xenon headlights
    - faux leather heated seats, electronic adjustment
    - sunroof, automatic headlights, rain sensing wipers, rear camera (pero low res compared to my XV)
    - not as comfortable as the 308, higher NVH too
    - Composition Media supports CarPlay, Android Auto, and MirrorLink *
    - no DSP, sounds ok but not better than the 308. Has subwoofer but effect is minimal.
    - Adaptive cruise control *
    - Forward collision warning with emergency braking *
    - blind spot monitor, rear traffic alert *

Yung DAP (driver assistance package) marked with * ang main selling point for me, but they're only available for the Business Edition + variants

My Golf GTS best performance so far is 24 km/li, and about 14 km/li mixed. It has more DAP features than the Jetta but the local distributor turned off the Lane Keep Assist and Lane Departure Warning.

Sir kumusta naman ung sunroof kahit naka close ung cover, hindi ba mainit or pumapasok ung init when driving at midday for, say, 2 hours? manipis lang kasi yung cover e.

And how is the ride compared to your XV?

We are planning on getting one, magpapa-reserve pa lang and hopefully we get it before the year ends.

Sunroof of Jetta is small, like that of XV. The Golf GTS is Panoramic (large). Both have factory tint. Maulan ngayon eh, so can't compare yet sa matinding sikat ng araw.

Ride comfort between XV and Jetta, mas type ko seats ng XV. Cabin noise taihimik relatively

Sir san ka pala nakakuha ng unit and sino agent mo? The two SA we had contact numbers of have not been responding to texts lately.

Sabi nila last month ngayong October daw magka stock ng golf gts pero nasa 30 na daw ang pila non, and depende din sa color. Most in demand is the silver and blue daw.

Aside from the sunroof of the golf gts, my other nitpick is the relatively tall transmission tunnel in the second row, parang I will be bothered by it if I'm the one sitting in the middle.

Hindi lang 30 ang pila, more than 33 naka pila sa Platinum Grey, more than 20 sa Silk Blue at more than 10 sa Silver. Isang branch pa lang yan (BGC). Swertehan lang may nag open item so I got it na kahit ayaw ko ng kulay, siguro din walang may gusto nung black and that's what I got. Previously may nag open na Silk Blue (the color I really wanted) pero hindi Business Edition + so I passed it on.

Late October ang dating, aasikasuhin pa yung so mga 1-2w na ng November maka release yan.

If an adult is in the middle rear seat malabo, and that's true to other cars din kahit mababa. Bottom line, naka bukaka yung nasa gitna.

Ah oo nga 30+ lang naalala kong number, isang kulay nga lang pala yon and gray, not silver. More reservations pa sa ibang kulay.

At the time wala nga din sila unit para sa showroom e, ung nai-release na unit ang pinapatingin sa mga interesado.

I prefer the silk blue as well but might have been swayed by the platinum gray had i got the chance to see it, kaso wala at the time sa showroom.

The next shipment will be in December pa daw pero kung ung October batch e November pa maire-release, delikado na sa excise tax ung December batch pala.

Kaya pala mabagal na magreply mga vw sales agents. Wala na silang units.
Yung isang agent nga from bgc, i was askig if may ready supply ng caddy, after 7 hours nagreply thru text and the following day pa tumawag.
So i just bought another brand na lang since super alaga sa agent and branch owner. Wala pang waiting time sa unit.
