Have you ever been in a traffic jam?
How long was it and what's the cause?

I was once caught in traffic for 4.5 hrs at C5 enroute from the fort to mandaluyong. The cause? Traffic enforcers! They really enforce traffic conditions!

    grrrrrrrrr

Reasons kung bakit nagkaka-traffic sa tingin ko:

    1. Simply too much vehicles on the road. Recent models have been really good, and more people are able to afford cars because of more flexible loan packages. It's also an indication of the people's growing income. On the other hand, we also have too much buses and jeeps (many of which are barely full).

    2. Poor and inadequate infrastructure. We still need much more road infrastructure to accommodate more vehicles. As for our existing ones, many are in disrepair, which then hamper the smooth flow of traffic. Also, we need more rapid transit systems so that people will use those instead of their cars.

    3. Drivers lack discipline. No need to elaborate on that.

    4. Poor reinforcement of traffic rules and regulations.

    Sad but true...

Just last sunday, from Naia Rd to Agila building (Sucat Road). 2.5 hrs considering its less than 2 kms away.

Reason? May stage sa gitna ng kalye. Fiesta, 1 lane passable lng. Talk about selfishness. &*%(&*($!

    just my 25centimo mga kapatid..

Part na ng buhay natin yan araw-araw either you have you're own car or riding public utility vehicle. Root cause talaga nyan dito sa Metro Manila is over population. Let's say magbawas nga ng sasakyan so walang trapik. So this is really a complicated problem to solve from the roots. If everybody will just wait for their turn like falling in line mababawasan talaga trapik in those cases. About traffic enforcers I agree, nangyayari sa amin yan. Mas ma-trapik pa kapag ino-override nila yung traffic light. Hay....

Taxi lang ata may Phase out system. 13 years lang dapat.

Syempre 3rd world country tayo, hindi pwede every 5 years phase out ang Taxi.. :headache: Pero yan ang tama.

imo yung phase-out system should be implemented on PUV's only.

Probably 10 years for every unit. Then ipakilo nalang after. :rofl01:

*broRenzo, tiba tiba junkyards nito bro....

Yup. Those Kia Prides, Corollas, Myamy buses to name a few.

I cannot distinguish though whether a certain PUJ is old or not since pipinturahan lang naman yun and it would look new again.

the root of the traffic problem is govt did not plan for the increase in number of motor vehicles decades ago

the road network of metro manila wasnt designed to handle the present number of motor vehicles
