    Looks like the Cavitex Toll Expressway has some new toys.






    The speed gun in the picture seems to be a BUSHNELL Velocity Speed Gun.

    From the website, it's a RADAR based general purpose sports speed gun. Mainly used in motorsports, baseball games, etc. It is not equipped with a camera. It is only effective for a maximum distance of 450 meters.

    The problem with detecting his gun is it is not emitting radar all the time to save power. Only when the operator pulls the trigger will it emit radar. So people with radar detectors, be wary of sudden pop-up alerts on CAVITEX.

    Given it's just a basic radar speed gun, they can only identify you if they can see your license plates.

    I wonder if they could still identify your car if you install high power LEDs around your front license plates. The bright light will obscure the view of the plate. It is similar in form to daylight stealth techniques.

    Just a thought, what if you switched drivers, it was you over speeding and you were tagged, but before apprehending you, you switched then the new driver got apprehended and he contested that on the toll booth. Do they have proofs that it was you who's driving and not the other person?

    kahit sino sir yung driver.. yung car naman ang nag violate.. so whoever is driving the car at the exit yun ang huli..

    They do not need to prove who the driver was. The only proof they need is the snapshot of the speeding vehicle's license plate. A traffic ticket is then issued to the person driving the vehicle, unless you can prove that it was a self-driving vehicle. Ayun kasalanan ng kotse dahil walang nagmamaneho.

    big no no naman sir dito di po porket bago kotse eh pwede na.(dapat pantay pantay po dapat tayo).
    kahit lumang sasakyan na 15y.o kayang kaya umabot ng 150km/h marami akong nakikita na bagong kotse na tumitirik.

    Mababa talaga yung 100kph! Kaya luxury na lang talaga ang mga performance car o yung tag 3M pataas. Hindi na rin magagamit lalo na pag long drive.
