the NLEX patrols would just rather let you go on a warning than take a bribe.

pero dapat yung speed limit eh tangalin nila mula paanu pa yung pinaganda nilang daan. kahit 190 hahatakin ko yung 1994 nissan super salon hahaha joke lang
Thats why we have a speedlimit so that it will lessen the accidents. The main reason they renovated NLEX is for a more smoother flow of traffic, not for speeding.

I dont know bakit di makaintindi!

Just to update this thread, just came from Baguio, and nahuli ako sa speed trap. While I did not contest the ticket, I'd just like to say that 100kph is really far too slow for the NLEX. You have a four lane, perfectly surfaced road, and I think 120-140 is an acceptable speed limit. You've improved the highway, but you have the same speed limit as the old NLEX. I think there's some leeway here since 120 at the new NLEX is way safer vs 100 in the old.

Anyways, magkano ba yung fine sa speeding? Went to the LTO website and wala akong makitang speeding. The closest was disregarding traffic signs siguro, which is P150. Sana wala nang seminar. And I hope my license is available na this Thursday, since nakalagay sa ticket na dapat within 72 hours pupunta na ako sa LTO.

Well at least nalaman ko yung top speed ng APV ko with 8 people + baggage + pasalubong: speed trap verified at 136kph.

although the speed limit is set at 100kph, i've heard that they allow up to 120kph for passenger vehicles.

last Sunday, coming from Mimosa... ang daming nahuli for overspeeding... to note that I was driving at 100kph all the time (even sa open system)... mahal na ang gasolina.

SPEEDING is highly equal to reckless driving if you're caught. That ruins your driving records if someone digs it up.

I would contest the LTO equating speeding with reckless driving. Reckless driving, at least in my view would be those guys using the shoulder for overtaking and those snaking around the highway like it was one giant slalom. Also, add those slowpokes who continue to use the passing lane and refuse to give way to faster vehicles.
