Is it really that difficult to stick to 100kph and below?

yesterday, I saw this guy apprehended at bocaue toll plaza going southbound. Im not sure what the violation is but it seems a speeding violation since yun lang ang alam ko na pwede nila na ilagay na violation. Since medyo mahaba pila sa toll, pinanonood ko sila.... After some time nagtaka ako kasi kumuha na ng wrench yun isa tapos binabaklas na yun plaka nung kotse.....

Is that allowed ba?

All traffic violations are being implemented in all expressways. Including special laws due to Limited Access Area provisions like no pedestrians at the hi-way, no loading and unloading, etc. The logical explanation why the patrol officers were removing the plate number of the apprehended vehicle was because the driver can't produce any driver's license or the driver refused to surrender his driver's license.

yup, tama si sir locoroco777. watch out pag malapit na bocaue exit. i'm not sure kung yung mga CCTV nila e radar-equipped pero slow-down na kayo pag nakakita kayo.. nahuli narin ako minsan overspeeding jan. 1,500 penalty (as Reckless Driving) plus nakakainis na seminar with exam.

i have never been cited for speeding yet. i normally go at 140 kph at nlex (mas strikto sila and also more traffic there) and 160 kph at sctex, overtaking the nlex and sctex patrol cars without slowing down and i had never been cited for speeding. basta gawin mo lang in a safe manner di ka nila huhulihin. pag overspeeding ka make sure you are not weaving in and out or making "hail mary passes". i have seen cars stopped at the toll gates by the nlex and sctex traffic enforcers and those were cars that were driving haphazardly. I think someone reported them, siguro may na-cut ng alanganin kaya nireport o talaga namang parang kitikiti kung magmaneho kaya napansin. me thinks as long as you do your fast driving without endangering other motorists then they will not give you a speeding ticket.

4 weeks ago i was at sctex going to sbma at 6:30 in the morning doing my usual 160 kph. then meron ako nakita sa rear view mirror ko about 2 km back going really fast. "cayenne ba yun?" true enough it was a cayenne, it overtook me like i was parked hahaha! it must have been doing close to its top speed (240kph?). it went pass me so quickly i did not even had time to read the plate number!

As per the speed limit na 100kph, 120 ang alam kong parang margin from speeding. More than that may huli na.

Pag alangan ka at baka may abangers sayo, take dau paexit at huwag sa dulo if pa north or bocaue taas ka pag pa south.

Thank you very much for the reply GuYz huh...

*YeBo: Thanks for the trip...I'll do that as well

I wanna drive fast pero ayoko naman yung papalit-palit ng linya and I still do the proper lane changing procedure...Yun nga lang talaga boring masyado yung 100Kph...

You can buy radar/laser detectors from online shops. Price will vary with detector model.

The speed patrols operate only in the daytime. Usually 8am onwards, from what I observed. So if you are early enough, like 6am, it is possible to run the length of NLEX/SCTEX at 160 to 220 kph without getting "tagged". I have done a few Manila to Subic runs that take only 1 hour.

Yung kay GH, nasa 14k. Haha.

On the NLEX-southbound, the speed patrols usually stay within the last 3 exits before the tollbooth, typically half hidden behind a bush so you will not spot them from a distance.

On the NLEX-northbound, I haven't yet found them during my runs.

On the SCTEX, they always change their position, but their regular spots are marked with tents on the side of the road. But typical places would be after a blind rise (example, hill or bridge) in the expressway so you will not spot them until it's too late. Sometimes they would also stay at the overhead "bridge" crossings for those heading to Tarlac.
