Lto doesnt provide certification since it is not required. It's the emission testing center that are implementing that. In short pera gusto nila

it's their fault that we have no plates.
instead of making it more difficult for us, they should be bending backwards to accommodate us.

two years ago, i had to go to lto, to request them to upload my plate number into the system, because the emissions test facility won't do my car.
and the funny thing is, my lto-sourced metal plates have been screwed onto my car for the past three years.

I was able to register my 3 year old Fort last week using the virtual plate I obtained last year from LTO Araneta Avenue. Ayaw talaga pumasok sa emission testing with just the mv file number.

but the problem appears to be, lto does not automatically upload it. they, for some strange reason, wait for the owner to come asking them to upload it.
why?

diba dapat automatic naka upload na yan pag dinala nang casa yung mga docs sa lto for registration..

you should have raised the issue sa casa kasi trabaho nila yan..

as far as i am concerned, casa did its job when it handed me the or/cr, and a few weeks later, the official metal number plates.
casa does not control the lto computer system. lto does.
so why do lto not automatically upload the plate numbers, like in the distant years past? i mean, they had all of three years to do that simple, it-takes-but-5-minutes job.

Once it's uploaded, lowly placed LTO crocodiles will find it harder to do "magic" -- like shuffle plate endings for a fee amongst those dissatisfied with what they got originally. So these lowly placed LTO crocodiles wait till the last minute final confirmation of the owner. This is just my speculation, though, so don't quote me on it.

in my case, after three years, they still hadn't gotten to uploading my number.

Even my car insurance asked me for the virtual plate number before I registered with LTO... Para maregister at ma issue ng Certificate of Coverage.

sana hulihin ng LTO and MMDA yun may bago na plates pero meron nasa ilalim na Europlates or yun Virtual plate ng casa na may conduction sticker number.

Ayusin naman sana yun cars nila para maging uniform na tayo, all brand new cars with the new look plates, ang ganda tignan sa kalsada, para tayo nasa Europe or something hihi

June 2016 ko na bili mux, after 1 year got my LTO plate. Sabi ni isuzu rizal out of 250+ nilang ni register dalawa lang kami na bigyan na LTO plate. Swerte lang po.

i read that the new contractor will rid of all plate backlogs for 2016+ automobiles by october 2019.
hindi kasama motorsiklo.

but my black and white plates to replace my green on white plates, are probably still being held hostage at the pier.
