Given the trend of TMP being one step behind Toyota Thailand, you can expect newly boosted 3.0 li with 5 spd A/T to arrive this time of next year. And yes, so TMP can still call it "new".

They are experiencing low-frequency modulations or movements inside the car, hence the large movements they experience being inside the car.
The Montero Sport has a softer suspension BUT does not have as much NVH isolation and refinement as compared to the Fortuner. Thus, the harshness or courseness of the road isn't filtered enough and permeates into the cabin. Although occupants might not feel any large movement inside the car unlike the Fortuner which rocks people left and right, the high-frequency vibrations from the road tend to wear out the passengers and make them uncomfortable over a long drive. This gets worse as the road gets rougher and less smooth, like a poorly overlaid asphalt or a concrete road that was rushed to completion resulting on a rippled surface. This is what I mean about the Fortuner being firmer and harder, but the Montero Sport can be harsher because of poor NVH isolation and general lack of refinement compared to the Fortuner."

    TUMPAK!!
ITO yung lagi ko inexplain na di ma-gets ng karamihan .. This is what i really like from FORTUNER. Because of the better NVH, even the sound details of your music coming from car stereo ay clear na clear kahit magaspang ang daan. Even conversations inside the cabin, mas malinaw. Sabi nga ng wife ko bakit MAS hindi ramdam sa fortuner yung takbo na 80 kph to 100 kph sa highway (commonly rough not asphalt) compare sa montero at grand starex. Kase nga sa Very good NVH ng fortuner. Less rattles than monty. Thumbs up for fortuner

We have compared monty & fortuner, both 2010 model, both black color, both 18k mileage, sabay kase halos binili, fortuner runs smoother, but monty rides softer. And take note mas me makalampag na yung monty.

Wala lang po, Just to want to share....hehe

Finally, after over 600 pages of assorted threads, an accurate description of the differences between Montero Sport's & Fortuner's suspension tuning. Now I only need to scrape enough money for a Fortuner.

5.8 km all city. No highway.

    Pro
-costs less than a diesel (in vehicle price). Less Php 126,000. (VVT-i A/T vs. new 2.5 D-4D VNT A/T).
    -Low maintenance in general.
    -No D-4D problems
    -No future CRDi injector problems

    Cons

-Matakaw "daw" sa gas. This is what most people (who browse and posts on forums) who don't even own one will say. I find that its consumption is commensurate to its heavy weight and engine displacement.

aba'y panung naging mababa ang FC ng gas, diba mas mataas nga yung FC kase gas? haha! mababa reading (7km/L) means mataas kumonsumo, mataas reading (11km/L) mas mababa which is tipid. diba? HAHA. )

maintain it well, hindi magkakaroon ng crdi injector problems.

our trooper 4JX1 yes yun pinaka sirain na engine ng isuzu trooper, until now mag 10years na next year no problem at all.

we do only regular maintenance, and using MOTUL oil that's it.

even our fortuner 3.0 4x4 2005 up to now maski yun scv hindi napalitan, no choking or hard starting etc.

wag mag tipid sa change oil and fuel filter. that's it.
