I just noticed, it seems a lot of people (including me) want to get/upgrade to the 2015 model right before the 2016 fort comes in. I was wondering if we all share the same sentiment - ok na ako sa current model, lalo if i get a good discount. Baka kasi once the 2016 fort comes the price would shoot up by 200 to 300thou?

For me i like the looks (hood cap), black leather interior, dark color rims that match the pearl white or cool white, hindi pa natin alam ang performance ng incoming model in regards with engine, suspension etc. and the most important thing is the price. baka yung 1.5+M eh strip off lahat.

same. i still can't get to like the incoming new model, so thinking of getting another 3rd gen before the new one comes out. hoping for a bigger discount because i only got 35k discount with my current gen3.

If you're not top concerned with resale value, need a car asap and satisfied with the current model then getting the outgoing model is not too bad

The 2nd hand fort i got also had just 1 key. To think dun ko pa nakuha from the Toyota Certified cars na binebenta nila. Purchased a key then ni-reprogram nila both keys. Yun lang mahal key nila mga nasa 10k

Definitely, buying the 2016 model..sigurado na ko dyan! I know that this will still evolve and will be subject to modification, but I'd like to think that aside from the brand, I'm also buying the prestige of owning the newest model. All things considered, it's still the newest model of the Toyota Fortuner, suave pa din ang dating...

Or halos lahat, we go for current model fort? As sir norelco said mas maporma yung 2015 lalo with the hoodscoop and dark gun metal rims.

I think most of the people here likes to have the incoming model, but unfortunately wala pa tayong idea regarding sa details (variants) and price. Kaya medyo nahihirapan mag decide. But for me i'll go for the current model na lang kasi siya yung readily available. Siguro after 5 years of use wala ng pila yung incoming model at marami na din reference regarding good and bad about the incoming model

I'll go for the incoming model.

Sabi nga ng Sales GManager ng Toyota Alabang sa akin with his usual kantyaw (he is a good friend),- "Pagbili mo pa lang ng current model,- luma na kaagad"....

Plus, when you sell them 5 years hence,- the depreciated value is definitely hinged on the purchase amount, which I agree...You lose only a few thousands, because of the %, - but that's about it..... (On the side, he is saying that if you have the dough, there is no sense in buying the "cheaper" current model - because you lose the "new ride pride" factor and the new convenient/high tech features of the incoming model - E you can afford it naman). So there goes....

sales manager talaga... be the "first" to get the new model and regret a year or two later because you got the stripped down version while the others who waited got a better deal and better spec'd fort. LOL.

I went for the outgoing model for the following reasons, in order.
    1. Price, budget was really just for an Innova 2.5G AT, inistretch ko lang para kahit papano may matira sa pagkabagets ko. Diko pa talaga tanggap na I'll be driving a 7 seater eh, hehe. The new model will most likely get a price hike like the new hilux did.
    2. Looks, mas gusto ko kasi yung kwadrado sa ganitong sasakyan. Ikanga sa india, butch looks.
    3. Super onting hesitation sa mga "new" sa upcoming model, you know like with every new iteration pero sobrang minimal lang ito.

Yung mga low dp, with free chattel, lto, etc. You end up paying more because binabawi nila sa high monthly payments. If you compute, its cheaper if you pay cash or get a bank loan.
