but for the fortuner, i'll wait for the OEM.

vicoy...i really want to have that INTERCOOLER emblem on the grill. i might be able to bring in some within the month. i'll keep all the D4D 3.0 people updated.
My Fortuner is the gas model so no need to install a turbo timer. However, my other car is a 96 Pajero. Even though this car is a bit old, will it benefit me if I install a turbo timer? There are times that I am late for work and I need to leave the car immediately that I can't wait for the engine to cool down before I turn off the engine. I know that this may damage the intercooler but most of the times I am really in a hurry and I don't have the luxury to wait for the engine to cool off. Thus I am pondering whether I should install a turbo timer.

Medyo off topic but please indulge me with this question. Thanks, guys.

About the OEM turbo timer... I think Goldcars has them. I called them to ask about it. The girl I talked to says it costs P4.5K. Parang ang mahal for a timer.

Do you mean Toyota Manila Bay Inc? Medyo hirap diyan since its a Metrobank owned dealer therefore only relatives/associates/friends/esp. clients ng Metrobank ang pwede makasama sa allocation ng shipments nila at wala ng iba.

OT: i had a 97 gen 2 pajero and for 7 years, i never did any of the turbo cool down routine and nothing happened to my turbo. at times, i even run for 2 hours straight on both highways and hills and then when i arrive at my destination, i simply shut down the engine without any cool down. turbo still purred when i sold the car recently

heheh! ganun ba? hindi naman cguro to advertise. my thing is to complete the exterior look that TMP didn't include in local models. simple details that add to the total package. even during the toyota corolla days, kinumpleto ko yung mga SE limited emblems,US version grills, lights, etc. looks stock pero mejo iba.

about the turbo timer naman, i checked with goldcars...hindi ito yung OEM for fortuner. japan made turbo timer sya. better get the one from ginza kung hindi rin lang OEM. cheaper pa...3800.

greenlight... yup the turbo timer is exactly for people like you who has no time for turbo cooldown. i'm bargaining with my friend... so i can get his APEXi turbo timer. sana papagbigyan ako. hehe!

Sorry to appear like a novice (which I am anyway), where (or what) is ginza? Where can I get details about the cheaper priced turbo timer?

I hope you get the APEXi turbo timer

    Thanks.

Here's a list of stuff missing on the RP 3.0Vs as compared to the Thai 3.0Vs:
    1. Intercooler emblem
    2. Back-up sensors
    3. Leather seats
    4. Steering wheel remotes for Radio and MID
    5. 6 CD In-dash stereo
    6. Auto up-and-down driver's side power window

That's all I can think of...

Di yata standard yung turbo-timer sa Thai 3.0V. It's not in the Thai specs, eh. It's an aftermarket accessory. Also, I believe the 3.0V doesn't have a differential lock button. It already uses a shift lever to shift from H (high-unlocked differential) to HL (high-locked) to N to LL (low-locked).

Oh yeah, the immobilizer... I think the TDS and the TVSS are one and the same.
