di naman accurate yung figure na 2000.. yung iba dyan.. more than one ang reservation sa iba't ibang dealers.. so siguro baka nasa 500 - 700 lang yan..

Manila Bay, made reservation last May 12 for diesel version, still waiting for our unit to come out. Called up our agent yesterday to follow, he said that we were second in line... still keeping my fingers crossed. I don't really need the vehicle immediately, am just concerned we might have to endure yet another price increase.

Vmax I hope the agent is telling the truth, From my source from metrobank, the # 1 line is not serve yet....we are on # 8 and my ninong is #6 same 2.7g...

The lady agent told me also this September our ride will come, its almost 2nd week of the month.

If our ride doesnt come this month I think I'll filled a formal complaint to DTI-I-reklamo, actually I email Toyota Manila regarding our concern regarding this reservation shXt. n carbon copied to DTI... no feedback yet

Synthetic oil has less deterioration due to heat vs mineral oil. It's usually thinner so circulates faster. Does not shear easily under stress. Casa says synth drain interval every 10k km with oil filter chg every 5k km.
BUT a quality mineral oil, replaced every 5k km, will give basically the same protection since the oil is changed more often.
Since synth at the casa is priced 4x more than mineral- you'll have to decide whether it's worth it. IMO, if used for city driving, then replace more often at 5k km with mineral oil.

This is true..sadly.. am number 5 raw for the gas model but up to now wala pa.. had my reservation since May 5! problem pa is that i chose the dark gray color so mas mahirap pa raw makuha yon.. actually am just waiting for the best alternative.. then pull out na.. good thing am not totally in need of a car right now!

Mabuti nga sa inyo dyan 100k lang ang deposit. Here in Davao, they will not accept your reservation unless you pay the whole amount. Yung friend ko nakuha nya Fortuner nya last week of August pero nung 3rd week of May pa nya binayaran ng whole amount ang fortuner.

ano ang rate ng IHF ng mga dealers ng toyota (3 years)? i am seriously considering buying at the black market. baka yung dagdag sa price ay mabawi ko sa lower rate sa bank. palagay nyo mga boss?

Guys, just wanted to share this pic I got off of FortunerClub.com...

See the hoodguard with an opening for the intercooler intake? This is one good idea...

hmmmm, doesnt this defeat the purpose of a hoodscoop?

also, the hole in the hood scoop seems to allow otherwise erratic flying particles to be redirected and then go straight into the turbo intercooler intake

Was wondering the same thing... I guess this kind of design would appeal more to those guys who feel that the hoodguard tends to choke the intercooler intake.

Won't it be better if they placed a mesh (not necessarily very fine) on the turbo intake?

Also what happens, say you are driving in heavy rain, and for sure water will usually find itself going through that intake opening.

To those frustrated waiting in line or by the fence, take heart, there are more and more Fortuner traversing the roads nowadays. Saw two parked outside LSGH (La Salle Greenhills) and two more parked in Promenade Greenhills, one while test driving a Mazda 6, and some more near Aurora Blvd. A sure sign at least that reservation line is moving *wink**wink*, even if they cut the line and pass you.

Does anyone know which brand of turbo timer is recommended? cost na rin. Plan to install my pajero as well din kasi hindi yata pinapahinga ng driver yun turbo after high speed. Mabuti na yun sigurado.

Fortfan, sorry nakalimutan ko gas version ka pala I went to Goldcars and saw the plastic side garnish am still thinking though since no plate pa naman.

i've seen pivot turbo timers on sale at ginza in d tuazon...selling at 3800. that's waht i plan to install on my pajero.
but for the fortuner, i'll wait for the OEM.

vicoy...i really want to have that INTERCOOLER emblem on the grill. i might be able to bring in some within the month. i'll keep all the D4D 3.0 people updated.

saw plenty of fortuners in alabang area kanina, most of them 4x2 d4d. dalawa nga katabi ko sa parking area. while driving naman, siguro every 5 to 10 mins may nakakasalubong ako. tama nga dealer ko, mas marami ngang diesel versions ang iri-release kesa sa gas.:car:

I think this a deliberate ploy by Toyota, to sell more of their higher-profit D4D engines as well as to allow it to attain economies of scale. I wonder if its the same case with the Hilux?
