btw CI or CI+ ang rating ng engine ng 2.5g?

Sir ung CI or CI+ rating ng oil yan, not the engine. Both are good oils, preference mo na lang sir if you will go with a synthetic or mineral.

Check your owners manual. Innova Recommended oil for Gas: 5W-30 or 10W-30 or 15W-40, 20W-50 API SL. Recommended for Diesel: API CF-4, CF, CD, or CE. Diesel needs CF ang API spec kahit obsolete na yong spec na yan kasi nga due to our high sulfur content (500ppm) ng diesel fuel dito sa atin. Mobil 1 synthetic 10W-30 has API SL and SM for gas and also API CF for diesel.

Pero pansin ko ang toyota they are using 5w-40... for fully synthetic... wala sa recommended oil... same lang ba yan sa 15w-40?

Better cold weather performance (esp. during initial startup).

    5W-40.

The lower the number in front of the "W" the better for cold weather. At 5 C it would operate like weight 40. Some people claim we don't need multigrade oils in this hot country.

Synthetic is still the best for Innova Gas. Maganda ang low viscosity kasi improve ang fuel economy. That's why mga Toyota or Honda sa US ngayon ay 5w-20 ang recommended oil. Check your owners manual. Innova recommended oil pag below freezing 5W-30, siguro sa northern India kasi malamig. Due to our tropical weather, 10W-30 ang recommended. Hirap humanap ng 10w-30. Honda casa sells 10w-30. Mobil 1 dito sa atin is only 5w-40..... I posted this before. Ask someone from US to buy you three 6quart boxes na Mobil 1 10W-30 good for three 10K PMS na yan. 6quarts would cost $38 from COSTCO(parang S&R) or sa Walmart. Bili ka rin ng Toyota Oil Filter 90915-yzzd1 or 90915-yzzg1 sa ebay or any toyota online stores sa US. 10 oil filters is only $45 yata yon. Pa balikbayan box mo lahat and every 10K PMS sa dealer that would accept your own oil and own toyota filter. No need to do every 5K PMS pag gas. Base sa experience namin, Pasig allows your own oil, oil filter and iridium plugs and Pasig will NOT void your warranty kung not every 5k ang PMS. Labor na lang babayaran mo sa dealer which would be around P1,500 every 10k PMS. Tapos after the 3 year 100,000 warranty, sa petron or caltex na lang pa oil change for P300 labor.

Basically ung OCI ng synthetic ay mas longer comapred sa mineral generally speaking.

Its safe as long as you take it to a trusted reputable shop that would use the right type of oil and oil filter.

    Otherwise, stick with casa.

PS: casa price for oil change sometimes cost less than what the shop "s" charges. fyi,

Mga masters and experts pa advice naman. I had my 65k PMS at Toyota Cubao last sat and i was informed na need ko na ireplace mga ito:
    1. Clutch components (19k estimate nila)
    2. Rack End (4,500)
    3. Brake Pad (2,500)
