Pros: K&N is washable and reusable.

Cons:

Cost is around 5 times than OEM.
takes too much time and effort to clean and restore.


IMO, it is much better to use the stock air filter. Discard and replace

pansinin mo ung dashboard instrument panel when you turn on the ignition. may iilaw dun na parang coil. un ung heater coil but mawawala agad un in matter of milli secs.

Ang galing naman ng measuring watch mo..... Pang Olympics ang accuracy...

mga sir baka may nakaranas na rin sa inyo. i own innova 2012 diesel m/t mga 6 months pa lang smen around 7000 km. naexperience ko na kakaiba ang ingay ng makina pag nasa 1200-1800 rpm (mas dinig ang ingay sa 1500 rpm) sa lahat ng gear. nung patingnan ko sa SA ng toyota sinabi na sa air filter housing ang umiingay. sinabi na driving habit ko daw. nasanay ako sa low rpm high gear na pagda drive para di matakaw sa kurudo. pero sinabi ng SA dapat nasa 2500-2800 rpm bago magshift ng gear. ganun daw talaga dapat sa diesel engine para di ma "tyope" (term na sinabi ng SA) ang makina. di na daw mawawala yung ugong. di ko alam kung nagpapalusot lang ang SA. need your advice... salamat po.

ahhh... hindi. one piece unit yan. nakadikit nang permanente ang lens sa body.
ang puede mong gawin, ay tanggalin mo ang mga bumbilya, at i-taob mo ang assembly para tumulo ang tubig sa loob, sa pamamagitan ng butas ng bumbilya. iwan mo yan ng isa o dalawang araw. mas maganda kung nakabilad sa araw.
nguni at ang tanong ko ay, paano nakapasok ang tubig? may crack ba? hanapin at gamitan ng epoxy o superglue.. kung hindi ay pabalik-balik lang ang tubig..

Madali lang kalasin ang rear tail lights.

1. open the rear door.
2. remove 2 nuts (visible when you open the rear door)
3. pull the tail light out.
4. pull the tail light wire sockets.
4. remove the bulb and let the water goes out of that opening.
5. seal the crack with epoxy or silicon. (don't use super glue, it will smear a white film on the reflector cover)

Pansin ko rear tail light ko meron patay na insect nakapasok sa doon, di ko alam paano nakapasok yun at may dust konti. Paano nilisin ang dust Sir?

Try BT223. This filter is a few mm taller than the regular D2 Toyota filter.

You can't really put in tall filters like LF3487 since it would hit a tube snaking across.

Nagpachange oil ako last weekend using Baldwin B233 filter. Eto comparison between the OEM and B233. BTW yung BT223 is smaller than the B233.



For VVTi engine, malaki ang free space on the filter area.

filter removed.



B233 filter installed.



Not sure though if the space is the same for D4D engine.

Very spacious down there so pretty much the biggest filter will do as long its the same thread.

This one is a fleetguard on 2.7 VVT-i Fortuner (same as the Innova Gas except that one is 2.0)

Not sure though if the space is the same for D4D engine.

Its not.

Oil filter is installed upside down on the 2KD-FTV. And there is a tubing snaking across preventing the installation of a taller filter.

cheaper than OEM. pm mo si dvldoc. much cheaper kung more than 2pcs kunin mo to save shipping cost.
