After driving for about 30 mins earlier this evening, I noticed when I depress the brake pedal and slowly release it, I could hear a slight squeeking sound. anyone had encountered this? ano kaya caused nito? will try to observe again tomorrow.

We got our Innova G Dsl MT Bronze Mica at Toyota Alabang yesterday. First brand new car.

Pardon my laziness to search, but is there a way to disable the alarm of the TVSS?

Mejo kakahiya sa kapitbahay kasi. Eh mukang may napadikit na aso eh tumutunong na agad.

IMHO its better to set it to silent mode than to totally disable it... AFAIK its in the manual to how to change the TVSS into silent mode.. HTH

After you get off your vehicle, close the door. Do not use the button on the key handle to lock the car. Just insert the key in the keyhole and turn it to lock the car (pretend you don't have keyless entry with alarm). Unlike aftermarket alarms, TVSS doesn't enable automatically after a minute or two. It stays disabled unless you press the button on the key handle to enable it.

But TVSS is also dangerous. If you leave your car unlocked and go away, it won't arm itself and lock the doors. Bad guys can get in but they will need lots of skills to steal your car because they don't have your transponder key or wave key. The movie thing where they tap two wires together doesn't work here. But they can steal your phone, laptop and wharever you leave in your car.

They can also put your car in neutral, push it to a truck bed and take it home hehe.

    RE: Moisture inside headlights.

This is perfectly normal. Even the manual says so. But back in 2006, I didn't believe it and to put myself at peace, I went to a dealer to a complain about it. First visit, they supposedly changed the lens only. B_S_. Second visit and complain, they changed both front headlamps with a brand new pair under warranty. Til today even with the new set, slight moisture still occurs under the same driving conditions as Markduguran experienced.

BTW, if there are big drops of water or moisture that does not disappear after a few hours, thats not normal anymore.

para yatang masyadong maraming moisture yan.. i have experience with at least five vehicles with similar headlight assemblies., including a 2005 innova and 2012 innova. none of them develop moisture.
check the rubber covers behind the headlight assembly, the one around the bulb socket. they may be incorrectly placed or attached.(some models have an up and down directionality), or in need of replacement (good luck with this). but again, these assemblies are not submerge-proof. baka naman mataas ang baha o mala-ondoy na...

the free play on my gearshift lever is already too big. i want to have it fixed. but do i have to bring down the entire middle console assembly to get at it? it's too much work...

Once you insert the assembled shafting and attach it onto the knob inside, you need to turn it counterclockwise. It would need a bit of force initially to loosen the knob. Once done its easy to turn it all the way until the tire comes down.
