I Have G Variant with 1SMF sa VVTi kaya nung nagpalit ako 3SMF ang nilagay ko and slightly modified the battery clamp to fit.

That's correct, I spent less than P10K with a cooling coil replacement plus cleaning after 5 years, really worth saving rather than yearly cleaning that will cost around P12-15K in 5 year span.

But now I know that is also important to clean the rear cooling assembly yearly. Somebody post here how to clean the rear aircon in detailed steps, I just can't locate it by back reading the threads, anyway it's not that hard to disassembled the rear aircon just take out the seat and sidings and you can now access the aircon assembly.

Same thing I did for 5 1/2 years puro linis lang ng cabin filter, kaya nangyari intact at malinis ang front cooling coil pero yung rear napakadumi at nabutas. Yung rear aircon walang cabin filter at yung external flaps are flimsy rubber that does not close firmly.

Sir, meron ka bang snapshot nung external flaps? Maybe this is the culprit kung bakit minsan nakakapasok yung usok ng mga ibang sasakyan sa loob. Ano ba ang function yan? Air vent? Looks like poor design ng Toyota.

sir ask ko lang bakit mo pinalitan ng 3smf? madami ka dinagdag na electronic device? yung sakin na vvti kasi ok pa naman 3yrs na battery nya. all stock wala pa ako ginagalaw sa wiring...

Typically, the evaporators will be removed to do thorough cleaning and to do LEAK TEST.

Sorry wala eh, but you can access it if you remove the rear bumper passenger side, natatakpan lang siya ng bumper. Thick rubberize sheet lang yung cover ng flaps opening. Some of the tsikoteers here permanently closed it with duct tape but the downside is doors will be slightly harder to close due to pressure displacement.

Function nung flaps cover is cabin pressure stabilizer, pag naka-on ang rear aircon ay sumasara yung flaps dahil pahigop yung blower. pag may pinto na isinara bubuka ng knoti yung flaps cover para ma-displace yung excess cabin pressure.

Actually matibay yung stock 1SMF na low maintenance, but after 4 years pinalitan ko na even malakas pa siya, ayaw ko kasi abutan sa kalye with dead battery sulit na sa akin ang 4 years. Sa mga old cars ko umaabot ng 6 years until its totally dead pero mahirap kasi pag inabutan ka sa kalye

All stock pa rin accessories ko, I just replace it with 3SMF dahil konti lang naman difference nila sa price.

got my innova last Dec 08, 2008 'till now po Stock pa rin gamit ko.
per Service Advisor (last change oil ko) dapat na raw palitan kasi ginagamit daw sasakyan kaya daw nagkakarga na lang 'yung Battery. GOD Bless!!!

Usually, ang battery magpapakita ng signs bago bumigay. Isa jan start mo ng makina, mabagal na ang redondo o ikot ng makina. Pwede pa mag-start pero since mahina na battery, parang hirap ang starter.

Anyway, sulit na sulit na yung battery mo kung dec 2008 mo pa siya gingagamit. Ako by experience 2 to 3 years lang papalitan na.

My stock battery is still ok. turning 5 years this july. alaga lang sa distilled water.battery is primarily used sa pag start ng engine. once engine is on , alternator na ang gumagana.

Sir, sulit na yan car battery mo. pag may signs tulad ng hirap mag redondo ang makina that is the time you replaced your battery.

lucky the guys whose batteries gave warning signs before dying completely.
in my experience, my batteries die suddenly. as in, good as new yesterday, dead as a doornail this morning.
with diesel engines, this means you probably won't be able to start the vehicle unless you have very strong na tagatulak (yes, you can push-start a diesel even if cold! medyo matagal lang nga..). in my case, i have a battery charger at home. when it happens, i just give it a booster charge. once started, i head to the store and buy a new battery.
gas engines, especially those with EFI, are easier to push-start even with very weak battery.
a female friend who knows next to nothing about cars, does not like to take chances. she replaces her battery every 2 years, regardless.
the batteries i use, have an 18 month guarantee. they last me at least 30 months.
your service adviser probably just wants to save you the horror of dead battery syndrome. it's your choice if you want to play battery roulette or not.
if your vehicle is an automatic, i recommend you replace your battery at a pre-determined date, regardless; or you buy a battery charger.

sa mga battery shops ay puwedeng mapa diagnose kung ok pa ang battery.

iyon sa avanza ng nagpa regular PMS sa toyota shaw, sinabihan ako na mahina na ang oem battery ko. kaso ok naman ang busina at start ng makina. pero after 2 months, umaga, weekday, ayaw na mag start.
