July 31st, 2022 08:25 PM #150072KD. anyone can ID yung noise? click for video. suspetsa ko alternator bearing or pulley?
checked:
- fan belt tight. saka hindi slipping kasi it does not sound like the belt.
- clutch fan pag inikot wala naman ingay.
- no alternator idiot light, or CEL.
- di galing sa compressor.
naiwan ko tools wala akong pang baklas...

July 31st, 2022 08:46 PM #15008i suspect, "a bearing".
my main suspect is alternator bearing, siguro.
i already had two experiences at alternator bearing failure.,.
both times, my symptom was "dead battery".
but i confess, i never checked for strange sounds.
squirt some grease into the other bearing and see if the sound disappears. if it does, then it's the bearing.
careful not to contaminate the belt.
good luck.
we await feedback.
errr,
does the sound disappear when the aircon compressor is turned on?Last edited by dr. d; July 31st, 2022 at 08:52 PM.

August 1st, 2022 07:13 PM #15009^ nag isolate ako ng AC doc and pinatay ko pero meron pa din...
nag scout ako different shops in person and thru phone. sa rey's and yock's around 5k or so yung pulley with labor. hindi pa daw original part yun pero matibay naman daw.
nakahanap ako malapit sa amin 3500 all in. original part daw. pulley is in a toyota box, and the part looks similar sa nakakabit na sira. saglit lang less than 30mins. di ko na tinawaran mahirap buhay ngayon. wala nang ingay ngayon, pinacheck ko na din charging ok pa naman.
sakit daw ng toyota vehicles ito with a similar platform and generation (fort/hilux/hiace) per tech. hindi daw replaceable yung bearing sa loob and buong pulley talaga palit.
-----

Gas up last night for a full tank and I noticed earlier while driving it sounds like a bottle of water whenever I step on the brakes. I check the compartment and at the back of the vehicle and I found none. Could this be fuel inside the tank that Im hearing?
So it's another case of "pwede na iyan" once again. It's that kind of thinking that will put...
