Kung tama diagnosis, replace the expansion valve IF barado talaga. Otherwise, expansion valves can be reused. Driers, on the other hand, should be replaced everytime lilinisin aircon system. Also, check for worn out O-rings sa mga fittings, better to have them replaced kapag nagpalinis ka. I had encountered such problem nun nilinis yung aircon ng innova ko last November. Nawala lamig after a week, they had to dismantle the whole system again to look for the leak, It turned out mali yung nailagay na size ng O-ring sa fitting on the rear.

April 13th, 2017 12:58 AM #12736jack up the front end of the vehicle, and spin the tires. there is normally only a teeney bit of resistance. both left and right side wheels should have equal resistance. i am sorry, but i can not quantify it better. one has to experience it firsthand.
then, with the car still jacked up, start the engine and step on the brakes and release it. have a second person inspect the tires and spin them by hand, after releasing the brake pedal. see if there is increased resistance ("dragging").
if the wheels drag, then bring the car to the shop.
normally, because the fronts are disk brakes, the pads are always lightly touching the disks. this creates some heat. the rule of thumb is, "if the wheels, after a long-ish drive, feel uncomfortably hot, then something is wrong, like dragging brakes".

I experienced the same when I went to Crosswinds in Tagaytay..nangamoy at sobrang init nung preno, hindi ko lang matandaan if I shifted to d2 prior. I was not using an Innova then though.

The brakes on the Innova are small to begin with. And the oem Yokohamas being a hard compound makes the brakes work harder. Stickier tires will help. On long downhill stretches it pays to use engine braking to lessen stress on the brakes.
