now, why would you want to re-set the odometer?

I can understand the reason behind you wanting to add a turbo, but what's the reason behind the odometer change?

Changing the odometer (usually to lower the mileage reading), is illegal in many countries. At the least, the action is frowned upon as it connotes deception.

if it's the engine, i don't know any.
if it's for the change oil, i bring mine to the gas station. i use whatever specc'ed mineral oil and oil filter they have on the shelves. 'been doin' this for over ten years now, with no negative effects.
if it's for the rest of the car, like brakes, shocks, and other regular wear and tear items, most jobs are pretty straightforward. i have mine done by the tambay mechanics beside the auto parts store.

I know what you mean.

Nagrent na ako ng sasakyan dati....sa 4 weeks kong rent I spent $56,000 pesos (2k a day) whats worst I can't even drive the damn car and I hate seating in the passenger seat. Sometimes my wife goes home as well for 2 to 3 weeks and also rents so we are looking at 7 weeks at the most in the Philippines every year so that is a $98,000 for a car rent. You are crazy not just buy a used car and offload the big chunk now then keep it for 6-8 years and you have your own car. I drive all over Luzon when I go home so yes it is expensive to rent hence the reason why I want to buy.

I already found the right Innova and I think I got a steal for it. 2011 Innova G that only has 24k on the motor and this is the best part....seller agreed to sell it for 500k. My cousin who is a service adviser at a Toyota delaeship looked at the car and brought one of his Toyota mechanic who work at the same casa and they could not believe "the find" and was told I will be crazy for not buying it and if I will not buy it, they will, and sell it for 600k and make 100k easily. I was told the car is in pristine condition except for the following:

    - Minor scratch on the windshield caused by still original wipers (I chuckled when I found this out - 6 year old car with original wiper on it). They assured me it will be removed as they remove those scratches everyday at the casa.
    - Very minor scratches in the front and rear bumper caused by normal Manila driving. I told them I want it removed and was told cost will be around 3000 pesos per bumper.

So ngayon ito tanong ko sa inyo:

    1. Where to get nice leather seats (leder land?) how much will it cost to get the door inserts wrapped with the same leather material?
    2. Where to get the bumper repaired instead sa casa where my cousin works? Is 3000 pesos per bumper okay sa casa?
    3. Mayroon bang floor liners for innova (semi-flexible rigid rubber tub like weathertech) if yes saan makakabili and how much po to?
    4. If I change the headunit of the Innova G for a 2 din touch screen for back-up camera will the steering wheel controls still function? Saan magandang magpakabit ng headunit saka backup and what brand?

i put my AT to D, and let the AT do the decision-making. works fine with me.
the only time when i am tempted to put it in 3 or 2 or 1, is on flooded streets.
if you find the speed too much, just let go of the gas pedal.
