i dont know if it matters but my unit is A/T diesel variant.
May i know the oil viscosity you're using? casa has 15W-40. Im planning to use CASTROL or TOTAL in my 5km pms.

Im also planning to change oil before it reach 5k. Example: if i have 1k milage nw, ill change my oil around 2.5k and change oil again on the 5k pms. is this approach okay?

One way to check if you have cabin filter is looking at the glove compartment on the passenger side., there is a sticker there on how to access the cabin filter.

You will need to detach the globe compartment to access the cabin blower and the blower filter(cabin filter). You just need a paint brush and blower to dust off accumulated dust.

darn to know.... tnx for the info sir

anyway, since we have no cabin filter; how does our model compensate filtering some uneven particles within the cabin interior?

what if I would like to install a cabin filter on my model - 2005 Toyota Innova J D4D; is that possible? do you happen to know how much would that cost me?

    tnx.

I can feel you sir in owning a brand new innova... but I say it's too much if you practice this method. magastos...

every 5k odo reading change oil is enough to protect your engine... I say also that it's better to change oil with mineral every 5k reading, than every 10k odo reading with semi synthetic or higher grade of oils...

but if your using your innova in racing or in frequent high rev or hauling with heavy loads, I think your idea will apply...

i dont think it is expensive if i'll just use mineral oil all throughout. my innova is used as everyday car like going to the office. i dont haul heavy loads and what's weird is i usually have only 1 passenger of the 8 seater capacity innova hehehe

^ bro, sa kin recent 1k pms - change oil (mineral is ok kase you would need to do another checkup in 3 mos anyway), checkup ng breaks, adjustment ng idling, body at engine wash, saka checking ng mga fluids.

In my case, for 1K PMS amounted to P 1,342.00 using mineral oil (Toyota Alabang).

When it comes to mineral oil, VVTi uses roughly 6 liters only and D4d roughly 7 liters. Iba din ang presyo ng Gas engine oil sa Diesel engine oil.

Are you guys talking about same variants?

*Mile2: Thanks for this usefull information. First time niya malinisan. By the way, ano po yung magiging improvement/s ko Sir mile2 after cleaning the cabin filter? Thanks!

    Cheers!

2005 model sa amin, walang cabin filter.

Already bought the cabin filter and the door assembly. kaso ang problem, wala pa palang access door yung blower cover.

    pano kaya mabubutasan yun?
