Wala kaming masabi, so we took home our brand new 'crooked' innova. Everything else ok naman so far, though we have used it thoroughly yet.

What's your take on this sir? Is it possible that 09 innova's are meant to be crooked??
Nope. Our D4D had the same problem and dad took it to a Toyota casa to get it fixed. After a couple of days, they got it right (think so) and clearance is almost perfect. But it's nowhere near the perfect clearance of the VVT-i.

I'm sure it's not normal, why would any car dealer or manufacture would say that it is normal for a brand new car to have uneven height on each side?

Here's one new owner who have his ride fixed by TMBC.

Good am Sir.
God Bless!

Guys anyone tried using Seaoil's Euro-5 Diesel on your D-4D units? How was the performance and fuel consumption using this? Better or worse than regular Euro-2 diesel sold by Petron and Shell?

Mga Bossing,

My Innova vvti/at is around 10 months old pa...I made a blunder of drying up its gas (naubusan ako literally ng gas) in one of my recent trips, what horrors, if any, should I expect....Ang careless ko talaga...TIA....

OBD stands for On-Board Diagnostic is a generic term referring to a vehicle's self-diagnostic and reporting capability. A scanner is plug on to the ECU port to read engine details. Point of failures can be interpreted by data collected, a technician can easily point any failure if there's any and can explain to you what the readings represents.
I cleaned the cabin air filter this morning and I noticed this box with a label "Engine Control." Maybe this is the computer box. It's located behind the glovebox.

So what happened sir? One minute your car was running along the road and the next it just died? Obserbahan mo lang ang performance nya. It is not so bad compared to drying up your cooling or lubricating system (which are your primary engine protection). Naging mausok ba sya? Humina ang takbo? If there seems to be no difference from before, then nothing to worry about.

If it happened once then there should not be any problems although if you do this often and you always run your fuel low then expect your fuel pump life to be shortened.

Hehe, my friend and I also experienced drying up his '90 Civic hatch with a 1.2L carburetted engine. We tried what the Top Gear guys did during the Expedition "Economy" Run. We jumped alternately on the door sill. The car started once, but it was so dry that it died again after a few seconds. Good thing his house was just a block away...hehehe.

wake up guys, people buying the innova are not the same people you use to see buying the tamaraw fx before (NO offense meant). We will not use it as taxi service, it's for personal use.

Hopefully, toyota people are reading this thread.
That's Toyota for you. Our 1993 Sentra had that auto up and down feature already.

They did not even add a rear wiper to the J?

Yep and to think that even an Avanza J (taxi) comes with one as standard. In this aspect, Toyota Phils is really incoherent. Well I guess, it is the same with the '09 City 1.5E having dual airbags while a more expensive Civic 1.8 V has nada.

it was pre-release when I complained about what's causing my innova's left side to be lower by '10mm' than the right. i thought it was defective so I asked for a new unit. then after a couple of days delayed of its release, they said it was normal (even showed me mechanical specs from the factory), so now I'm stuck with this new crooked innova.

what can i do? toyota people I talk to either seem to be ignorant (walang alam) or say its normal.

ps. we have the 09.09.09 G dsl variant. ^^

Yun na nga, during the last EB all who attended have leveled height walang mababa ang isang side. Mas marami yata ang D4d than VVti during that time and I noticed there was a barely week old 09 D4d, ang kintab pa ng makina kasi bagong-bago.

marami din naka 17" rim inggit naman ako

bro to lessen your burden or maybe some nightmares about your car, balik casa ka na lang siguro co'z your car barely even a month old, and its only toyota mechanics can do the job, kulitin mo sila, coz a million peso car si not a joke.. im sure they still believe sa sinasabing customer satisfaction co'z most companies made it clear in their objectives & policies. Like Alllenwyn said hindi yan Tsambahan Bro.. Goodluck bro sana maayos nila ride mo.
