Talagang may issues pa. Swertehan lang talaga sa unit ng D4D.
    Good Day Fellow Innova Owners!

In my experience with Dieseil engine, if your exhaust is emitting black smoke, your injectors has problem. Its either running too rich or there's a lot of unburned diesel.

Changing oil will not help in getting rid of the black smoke, they (casa) should check/replace the common rail injectors or reprogram the ecu.

One time I chances upon a Fortuner in casa they were trying to eliminate black smoke....they were revving hard the engine for quite a long time and as if there was a defogging for mosquitoes.

Yung ibinibigay ng casa na free e walang kuwenta, madulas kaya puede kang madisgrasya.
sir timo07, nagpalagay na ako ng floor mats from ACE Hardware in SM Mall of Asia kahapon pero inabot ng P7,500 less 10% discount. Covered almost entire floor from harap hanggang sa likod. Ganun din ba ung nakuha mo at P2,300? Per yard yung price tapos they cut it to fit innova, may pattern sila dun. It took about an hour, cutting and installation.

Help!!!! i know that a lot of the people posted here are very happy with the performance with your toyota innova.... i need anyones help this time for you or your friends might know the answer for my innova E diesel matic problems.

We purchased our innova last april 30 2008 and ever since with just i had to go 3x already just to have our innova fix because of too much BLACK SMOKE! my odo read only 700km when we noticed the smoke come out. This are the list of things/ procedure that the casa did with my innova:

    1. first 1000km- as per factory sop, they rev the engine and said it maybe because of carbon deposits
    2. 1375km- went back because of black smoke padin.... they rev again the engine and this time re programmed the ECU...wala naman daw nag rereflect na problem sa computer nila
    3. 1680km- went back again and as per advice byt TMP, they had to change all fuel injectors and EGR of our innova.... observe nalang daw ulit
    4. At present, after just 1 week and 1750 km odo meter reading.... mausok at black smoke padin.... sabi casa it might be the Turbo system na daw makina.... i was advice to rev it 20x again at baka lang daw hindi lang lumabas lahat ng carbon deposits after ilabas sa casa....

anyway, i'm just hoping that anyone who can read this or all you innova club members can give me a feedback and help on this matter...

i will really appreciate any help....

    Thanks!

    Din

I'm sorry to hear these black smoke stories from D4D owners...

In my own thinking, maybe Toyota people doens't have a clue either as to why it's behaving like that, and so they are chancing upon trial and error of known causes to rectify it...

Good luck and hoping that a solution will surface very soon to remove those anxiety of the owners....

why do you have to an appeal to us VVTi owners to be more cautious in relating about the gaseous problems of Toyota Innova D4D engines?
..you just have to read around this forum and most of the complaints about this blackened smoking problem comes from the D4D engine owners themselves.
what you are imposing is to shut our mouth since we have nothing to do with it.

Just bought my innova V last week, a/t, gasoline.

I see!

Sir Mile2, you are right about the cause of blacksmoke being unburned fuel. But this can also happen on gasoline engines that are quite old. For fellow Innova D4D owners who are experiencing this problem, this is really a cause for alarm, especially for those who already brought their units for inspection/adjustment/repair. It would appear that Toyota (or its technicians) does not know how to correct the problem!!! Natyempuhan nga lang sana yung iba. My odo is about to reach 6000KM and, Knock On Wood, hopefully, I will not experience any of the problems being mentioned here in this thread. My FC is okay at 10km/li, city driving.

It covers practically the whole floor area except under the front seats (driver and passenger). Iba na ciguro ang nabili mo. The trimmings and overlap are okay sa akin. Ang hirap lang hugasan, napakabigat nung material.

From what I know and from experience, gasoline engine will not emit thick black smoke/carbon as the diesel. Most probable case would be white smoke which is a sign of burned oil from oil leaks inside the combustion chamber.

All of you guys probably already know this, but I'd like to contribute...

Peace guys. Tulungan lang tayo dito.
