Our Innova was bought April 28 pero 3 years reg din. I think this was an LTO regulation for new cars which was implemented sometime April or earlier.

The only way to find out is to check your OR.. or the stickers of LTO, cause new cars have stickers on plate and windshield with 2005, 2006, 2007 in it...

Mine is also Feb and valid for one year only...

check mo sticker mo sa plate. those registered for 3 yrs nakalagay na '05,'06 at '07. kung 1 yr lang '05 lang ang nakalagay

Glass etching is not really effective but would make the carnappers think twice. If the car is carnapped with the intention of chopping it to pieces, the etching is of no use. Or they could replace it.

Btw, how much is the membership fee. The etching might not be free but already incorporated in the fee. Is the etching on the windshield only? How about the windows and side view mirrors?

I think it is free. The annual membership is 1,000. 2,200 for three years. You can visit their website.

It would be useless if it will the windshield only. I believe all of the windows must be etched.

inoba, Congrats! enjoy !

Ei, thanks! My hubby & I were supposed to get a gas-powered Innova. But with the unpredictable oil price-hike, we opted for a diesel-powered ride. Though I find it a bit frustrating at times esp. in uphill climbs. Maybe it's just me...guess I still have to enhance my driving skills in this new ride.

Yup, our boys simply love the big space. We used to have an Accord(I love Honda! =)) as our family car. Due to the latest addition to the brood, we can't all fit in a sedan anymore & had to forego of our old Honda. I still miss that ever-dependable car...*sniff* *sniff*

Sorry guys, can't give any input on the technical stuff/aspect of our car. But I greatly appreciate all the infos shared in this thread as it's all very helpful & informative. Esp. the accessories shops that some fellow tsikoteers(hope there's no gender restriction here ) suggested. Our ride may not be one of those mean-cars on the road. Heck, we simply love our Innova!!

It's a double protection. I do that also, especially sa mga malls and alanganin na lugar. Pag may nag-alarm na sasakyan sa mga mall parking, the guards usually don't bother to check kung bakit nag-alarm.

ganito din gawa ko, ginagamit ko steering wheel lock pag naga-alangan ako sa parking, wala ako tiwala sa oem na TVSS hehe..
