When I got my 11th gen a couple of years ago, I hoped that my next car would be a hybrid. If Toyota does price the Altis hybrid at 1.5m, this might just come true.

This is actually an interesting development/direction for Toyota Philippines. I'm waiting for the actual specs/brochure for the new Altis to come out to see what is equipped with the Hybrid.

Toyota is keeping their word that they are slowly launching more models with their Hybrid/Synergy Tech (and hopefully with safety sense).

Hopefully, Nissan Philippines will also keep their word and launch their electric car(s) here as "promised" and we'd finally some competition here, though not sure if they can even price the Leaf close to 1.5m.

Anyway, this is a welcome product launch, at least for me. Hopefully the maintainance will not be too sensitive and not need to be exclusively done by casa for the Hybrids.

Were the Prius' exclusively worked on by Toyota casa only?

Wow. Plus may Toyota Safety Sense kaso wala yung iba like pedestrian and bike detection. Automatic emergency braking for cars lang.

Toyota products have proven to be best over the years.. Their engines are superb. We still have their most powerful engines in-stock.
1KD and 2Jz turbo engines.. Fairly used at an affordable price. At Ultimate exotic car parts company ltd. Buzz me if interested

Decent pricing for the base model. At least the base model’s price isn’t as f***ed up as the Mazda 3’s 1.2M with a 1.5L engine.

Not sure about the hybrid though. Not with the price, but for future repairs. Then again, they’re producing the Prius. I’m sure they’re experienced by now.

Only 40k to 50k increase per variant for a new model.
    Im impressed.
Most people wont care if it is a cvt or not.
And they figured that the 1.6 variant is what people are after anyways.

Yeah, niche na dati, mas ultra niche ngayon yang Mazda 3.

Pricing of the 12th gen Altis:

    1.8 V Hybrid – P1,580,000
    1.6 V CVT – P1,185,000
    1.6 G CVT – P1,115,000
    1.6 G MT – P1,045,000
    1.6 E MT – P999,000

    Civic:
    RS Turbo CVT PHP 1,608,000.00
    1.8 E CVT PHP 1,185,000.00
    1.8 S CVT PHP 1,115,000.00

    Troll pricing much?

I was seriously considering getting a hatchback variant replace the wifey's aging Corolla.

Those prices gave me pause. I guess we'll wait for used units, sigurado after a year or two nyan meron dyan hindi na matuloy yung monthly payments. Over-excited much. LoL.

The front fascia leaves much to be desired though, when compared to the North American units. Why does Toyota do that?

LoL! I thought it was because it leaves them with design options for future upgrades and facelifts for the Asian market.

    So it's personal pala. Hmmmp.
