*cjv justice - thanks sir, eto napasyal na sa 2 sets of in-laws over the weekend at sinubukan na daily driver for 3 days...around 200+ kms na...all good pa din...

Naalala ko pala nung pinick up namin yung car, nakita namin na walang rheostat yung optitron meter, pero nakalagay kasi sa brochure na meron...sabi na lang nung kausap namin na wala daw talaga...pinakita pa niya sa Fortuner kung ano yung rheostat...so wala talaga, 1.6 V yung samin....pero meron adjustment ng brightness mga 4 na levels ata yon...

Nag-browse na rin ako sa detailing thread...ganda nung "tamang OC.." guide to newbies...overwhelming ang info...sana magawa ko yon...lahat ng previous cars namin puro car wash at punas lang before....

* loverlionus - well diyan ako natuto sa 'Tamang OC' detailing thread na yan... I even joined up a detailing group.

I completely forgot na yung Rheostat function hehe, at yes 4 levels ng brightness yung Optitron.

Kakatapos ko lang sa first 1,000 kms last weekend. So far ang sarap niya gamitin, kakaiba yung 'feel' kapag naka EPS.

Overall the car is superb. There are a things that I am completely happy about although meron din a couple of things that should have been there.

Astig yung Smart-key no?!

Nasa supermarket parking lot kami, paglabas ko kotse, ayaw mag-lock, pinindot ko yung button sa door handle, ayaw...pinindot ko yung lock button sa key fob, ayaw din...pumasok ako sa kotse, wala naman alarm sa MID kundi driver's door open...naisip ko baka may nag-iinterfere sa smart key sa paligid...kaya ni-lock ko na lang manually gamit yung susi...pasok na kami sa supermarket, after mga 30 mins paglabas at paglapit sa kotse, tumunog yung fan sa engine bay! Naiwan ko pala umaandar yung engine! hehehe...lesson learned at huwag gayahin...may history na ko na nakakaiwan ng key sa kotse na umaandar, pero eto talagang pinagpilitan ko pa rin na i-lock kasi, at least dala ko na yung susi at di naiwan sa loob...

Nakaka more than 500 kms na kami, kaya 1000 km PMS in 2-3 weeks...

Kasama na din ang detailing thread sa sinusubaybayan sa tsikot.com...

Sinubukan ko na walang radio habang dumadaan sa di masayadong smooth na cemented roads...may konting rattle na ko na naririnig, nabasa ko na dito yung sa headlining na rattle....yung sakin mukhang nanggagaling sa A pillar driver's side...sabihin ko na lang din sa PMS...thanks.

uy nako nangyari narin sakin yan. pagkapark namin sa basement ng isang mall naglakad na kami papunta sa entrance, sabi ni misis parang hindi pa naka-lock. pumasok ulit ako sa loob yun pala umaandar pa yung makina... damn!

Sa Tucson ko diesel kaya alam kong bukas pa ang engine.

Matanong ko lang, may buzzer ba yung Altis niyo kapag ayaw mag-lock ng doors?

Sir walang buzzer para sa lock, nag-buzzer kagad siya kapag bukas ng pinto, kahit naka on or off yung engine, on or off yung lights...sa pagka-alala ko ha, hehehe...check ko mamaya...ok na nga sana yung system na di magla-lock kapag naka-on yung engine...pinuwersa ko nga lang pa din sa paggamit ng susi at manually locking the door (imbes na smart key)...

I believe the 10th gen altis has warning beep pag-umaandar pa rin and you left the car with the remote sensor with you, mag-beep siya to warn you that the remote sensor is not within the car and the motor is still running, siguro hindi nyo lang po napapansin or naririnig yung warning beep because madalas ko marinig ito when my hubby leaves our 2.0V altis to open our gate and I would hear the warning beep because the remote sensor is normally nakakabit sa belt niya, which helps, kasi never maiwan ang sensor sa loob ng car.

A yes tama ang galing niyo mam. tapos it will show 'Key Not Detected" sa info display. actually pag nasa labas ka at nadala mo yung key fob yung beep malakas din.

will try to experiment nga on some scenarios bukas.

Ganun din sa Tucson ko kapag lumabas ako ng car with engine ON tapos nasa bulsa ko yung Smart Key. May warning buzzer siya around 5 seconds. Pati kapag naiwan ko sa Neutral yung gear selector. Tutunog din yung buzzer at hindi mag-lock yung doors.

I think same lang ata here with the Altis. Di ko kase masyado pinapansin e. Pag naiwan ko sa Neutral tsaka lang siya magbibeep, pero kapag naka Park wala na. Kaya siguro nakalayo ako noon wala ako narinig kase naka Park na.

When you go outside the car and the smart key is with you while engine is "ON" it will beep trice when you close the door, and the hazard signal and "key not detected" will appear on the panel, but if you leave the door open it will not beep. If you put the transmission on NEUTRAL it will beep continuously if you open the door and will stop the beep if you put it to P.

Guys did you experience na minsan di bumubukas yung trunk when you pull the driver side lever? Yung sa akin na-adjust na minsan ganun pa din.

ako rin ganyan yung trunk latch sa loob minsan ayaw gumana. kainis nga yan e... matagal pa naman bago ako mag 5k kms para bumalik sa casa for PMS.

I think I might have a suggestion regarding the trunk latch. My trunk won't open again this afternoon while trying to det my duster. Try closing the trunk with a bit force. The next time you open it, it works better. I tried it around 7 times, all without fail.

hey looks like we have the same problem, mine has odometer reading of 2000
last 1k PMS i was complaining of rattle sound around driver side akala ko sa may instrumentation yun pala sa may driver side na pillar yng plastic trimming beside the windshield nanggagaling yung sound i still have to have it check but im sure dun galing kc parang maluwag yng plastic trim

*ian28 - The trunk may not open when pulling the driver's side latch if you locked the trunk with the key at 3 o clock position. Try to reposition the trunk's key lock to 12 o clock position.

*spencersy - The rattling sound comes from the A pillars which is hollow. Toyota service center will fill that with insulation foam. Inform the service personnel to put the foam on your next visit.

Yes, we have the same observation that's why I always close my trunk with extra force (slam it).
