Yeah... there are niggles but overall, quality is still up there based on my experience with my 9th gen. I'll be happy if my gen 10.5 holds up the same.

*cjv_justice, that's good FC. I've been doing 9++ in city driving using Petron Xtra. I've yet to try 95octane on my ride though; i'm kinda lethargic now since it's Monday morning but around how many km/L better should we get to offset the cost difference between XCS and XTRA? Around 1.5km/L - 2km/L better?

Yeah probably. But me I feel the benefit a little more with the engine's response & power with the premium gasoline as compared to the regular unleaded one, especially when rolling from a stop. I dunno maybe its the HKS oil also... but I'm quite happy with that result considering my driving style.

Given that regular unleaded is at 55, and XCS is at 56, that's just a 1.8% difference. So a 1.8% improvement in FC should be enough to offset the additional cost.

If you're getting 9 km/L with XTRA Unleaded, 9.162 km/L with XCS is a fair deal.

Meron din ako squeaking sound sa steering wheel before, mukhang nawala nung last visit sa casa.

Paid P 4.7k for the 20k kms check-up. Naayos din yung mga pinaayos: steering wheel squeak, rattle sa likod, trunk release switch...

Yup on and off din. Akala ko nung una nagooverheat yung EPS motor since I first heard it after being stuck in traffic for over an hour. But recently kahit short drives.

    Hopefully nothing mechanically critical.

Had the trunk problem before, then they fixed it. When I had my rear bumper painted, parang di maganda yung pagka-align, so if you don't shut the trunk with enough force, it doesn't lock. If you somehow manage to close it without much force, di bubukas using the trunk release lever.

Approaching 60,000 kms on my 10th Gen ZZ. So far so good. no steering wheel squeaks. no toks nor thuds. still drives like new. may konting mga vibrations lang sa mga windows on rough roads, sign of natural ageing I guess. comfort still maintained. aircon can still freeze my balls. reasonable maintenance costs kahit sa casa. my loyal everyday workhorse car.

yesterday my rear sonars are acting up. when i shift to reverse, the beeping sound of the sensors goes rapid like its detecting something at close range even though there's none. i turned the sensors off and on again this evening and its back to normal. hope it does not recurr.

    grounded due to rains?

Has anyone here installed door lamps?

Hassle lang even the 2.0V doesn't have door lamps. And ask ko lang, baduy ba if I install rear fogs without changing the
brake lamps to the red lens type?

So far ours is at 1,100 kms and is due for service already. hehehe wala pa din plate. Itong kotse namin pinakamatagal makuha yun plate.

    Thanks!

    Door lamps? Our 2.0V has:

Looks complicated to have them installed outside. Magbubutas ka pa, then you're gonna have to tie up the wiring to the dome lamp.

Walang kaso yan. Mine is like that as well. I thought of changing it to the red lens brake lamp however i changed my mind when i saw that the ones being sold were not LED type.

Gash, 5,000km na ako so i have to go in for service in a week or two. Why can't Toyota come up with service intervals like Honda (every 10,000kms)?

Re door lamps, 10.5 doesn't have it anymore, 10th gen has it starting from the G model. You can buy the lamps from the casa, costs around 500 each. Though the wiring was omitted by Toyota so you have to do the wiring as well.

Re the rear fog lamps, for me its better to change the brake lamps to red as well, to complement the euro set-up. but having the brake lamps stock with the rear fog doesn't make it baduy for me. actually, i have a rear fog but my brake lamps are still the stock ones.

Sa local 10.5 gen, the brake lamps are clear type with red LED lighting right? In europe, the lens of the brake lamp itself is red.
