With the high gasoline prices today, I am thinking of buying an innova diesel. I did some interview with one employee in toyota; he informed me that the chocking problem was solved two years ago.If indeed there are problems on their new innova diesel, your input/experience are welcome. tia
Hey Bro, would you know kung saan prevalent ang issues, sa 2.5L ba o sa 3.0L? Sorry ha, tinatamad na ako magview doon. Yung principal namin na based in Thailand has a 3.0L D4D Fort. At 130K km ODO reading, no issues whatsoever. He also mentioned that the D4D engines are manufactured in Thailand.
this only occurs for 2.5D4Ds both Innova and Fort. I can't really say if this is still existing in 2009 and later models kasi 2011 lang din yung sakin with 5k ODO reading. If you backread, you can generalize that:
1. occurs in SOME 05 - 08 Fort and Innova Models
2. caused possibly by bad fuel that sort of corrodes/breaks SCV. kakabasa ko lang din sa MS issues, may nagsstall din 3 days pa lang unit
3. MOST units with replaced SCVs were fixed.
These are just conclusions drawn from posts and are not actual facts. Madami kasi sa mga posters na nagkaissues hindi na nagbigay ng feedback. Its either binenta na nila units or na resolve na completely. I have been looking at the FCP forums lately and wala na akong nakikita posts about D4D issues.

more than a month ko n gamit innova ko never pa nag recur yung pag stall ng engine.. late ko na po naisip to take picture nung SCV na naka kalas sayang nga po.. nung maisip ko yun eh nung nakabit ko na. kung makakahinge lng sana tau sa toyota ng lumang o sirang scv para maipost d2 yung itsura ng SCV pag kalas kalas sya...
guys, help... hard starting innova e vvti ko. lalo na sa umaga, 2009 model to. dahil kaya sa madalang lang syang gamitin? nag s start naman sya after mga 3 tries... bakit kaya? una "tik" lang , 2nd redondo na mabagal, 3rd redondo uli tapos start na....? TIA
mga sir bago lang ako dito pero na expirience ko na yang SVC na yan bali lang months din ako nagttiis hanggang ngayon hindi ko pa rin napalitin my friend ako from toyota cubao sabi nila may ginagawa na day sa SVC ngayon machine shop na daw nilalagayan ng parang adoptor pede patulong naman regarding sa problem ng SVC kung meron pang ibang paraan kung panu magawa to. thanks
good morning mga car gurus..ask lang about sa problem ng innova ko pumapasok kasi yung amoy na galing sa labas kahit fully closed yung mga windows pero hindi naman ganun ka brutal na amoy na amoy mo talaga parang half sa total amount ng baho ang maaamoy..asar kasi pag napapadaan sa mga mababahong lugar eh..sana matulungan nyo ako sa mga dapat kung gawin or icheck..thanks in advance..2009 model G a/t
*whiteangel --- autoclumate aitcon yang sau diba? mine is 2011 G D4D MT. anu ichura nung kotse na may arrow sa monitor ng aircon mo? yung arrow ba is nasa loob or nasa labas papasok sa kotse? kung ganun ang arrow, just press yung button na yung arrow is nasa loob ng kotse paikot. ibig sabihin is yung hangin sa loob is mag si circulate lang sa loob ng innova mo, pag yung arrow nasa labas papasok sa kotse, ibg sabihin nun is yung amoy sa labas, papasok sa innova mo. ok? hehe.
most probably naka-bukas yung air inlet ng aircon. may selector dyan to choose to re-circulate air inside or outside. when i cleaned the aircon air ducts before , i permanently closed the air in-let since hindi ko rin naman ginagamit. overtime, it will just collect dust from outside.

just have my innova scv kit and egr replace at toyota bicutan after nearly 4 years bumigay na rin sya,intermittent lumalabas kasi check engine light, una akala nila may fault lang sa air intake ko pero later on dun na rin bumagsak ang fault, once ko lang na experience yung engine stalling pero hindi na nangyari uli since i make it a point to replaced the fuel filter after every oil change, still waiting for the amount from the service adviser, thanks
