then it is time to tell toyota that the wheel has turned.
but only the customer can do that.

Resale value is purely supply and demand. If someone decides to price his non-Toyota at the level of a Toyota, and noone buys it, he has no choice but to lower the price.

Case in point, I was eyeing this 2007 Mazda 3 last year. It was priced the same as a 2008 Camry. Guess what, until now wala pa ring bumibili. Nandun lang sa buy and sell garage sa Ortigas.

If people want car sales dynamics to change in the Philippines, then don't buy Toyotas. But honestly, because they understand what the majority of buyers want (which is not just specs, in case you haven't realized), and have built a good reputation over the past 3 decades, I don't see them losing the crown anytime soon.

However, that is just your personal opinion and majority of buyers feel that they are getting their moneys worth. In the end, value of goods are dictated by what consumers want. If a product does not entice a customer one way or another it wont sell. In the case of toyota they have established enough brand equity that even if they lose feature wise, they still sell. Not all products sell by features alone.

Stop complaining about this overpriced, underspec Toyota vehicles.
FFS, buy another brand instead of complaining.

Complaining through forums wont make Toyota budge. Use your wallet to show your displeasure instead.

And BTW, mahal na nga talaga ang Toyota hehehe.

All smart phones are overpriced naman po. Samsungs are overprice too. But some products because of the features they have deserved to be overprice. Mahirap po kasi overprice na po sobrang konti pa ng specs. Well last na po ito since sabi naman ng karamihan contented sila and i am not arguing naman po with them just voicing out my opinion. Peace po...!

Notice the upholstery on the driver's seat. Its beginning to sag and deform. Understandable bec. that's where one's rump (therefore entire weight of the body) land on when they first sit on the seat. But just imagine after a few years of use.

That's one reason why I don't like leather upholstery and aside from the fact that it gets hot when parked under the sun.

The term "overprice" is used too loosely imo. What may be "overprice" to some may be just right or cheap to others. Ultimately, it is the market that will dictate if it is overpriced or not.

These ASEAN made imvs are tariff free. They should have been priced more reasonably. Most of our cars here are more expensive than in the united States. See the prices of civics, crv etc

if they sold as many cars here as over there, we'd probably also be buyin' them for less...

hopefully with the fortuner having more competition, toyota will give us better spec'd fortuners. the trd version of the fort is really looking nice, but i don't know about that black roof though.

i think all the casas have a more-or-less uniform formula for the basics. it's recognizing the optionals and crossing them out from the worksheet, that will lessen your costs.
look at your owner's manual, po. what are the absolutes for 10K pms? the rest not on that list is optional and can be crossed out.
    good luck.

displays are already available at the dealerships.

interior color for the g variant is ugly. fabric is also not nice. they could have used velour, para soft to touch.

otherwise, it is not as bare as i thought it was going to be.... for the g variant at least.

Good day car enthusiasts of the Philippines!!

Ask ko lang po kung ano ung mga key differences between the G and V variant of the all new fortuner. I have searched all over the internet but sad to say there isn't enough info. I have read the specs, I'm wondering what added features comes in the V variant but not in the G variant. SOBRANG laki kasi ng price difference between the two.

Thanks in advance! Replies are much appreciated!
