July 11th, 2015 07:06 AM #193This is odd, is this supposed to be an all-new design? Seems like Toyota only massaged the current platform and made major exterior changes to disguise the fact. The pillars between old and new looks to have the same shape, angle, & size. The tailgate & general bumper shape looks similar to the outgoing model. The wheelbase looks about the same. Even the gas cap looks to be in the same place.
The rear quarter panel has been reshaped, aping USDM Honda Odyssey & Kia Carnival, and larger glass area but the C & D pillar still looks like those of the current model. From the side, the redesigned rear makes this Fortuner look longer.
Tailgate seems to have less glass.
The front reminds me of Volkswagen. And I like how they moved the car plate holder to the bottom lip of the bumper.

Those are fair points. It is quite early in the game for the Philippines when it comes to EV...
