BTW, sabi ng SA (or marketing professional) sa amin ng friend ko na pwede ma-extend ng up to 5 years yung warranty ng Wigo ng friend ko basta stick lang sa Toyota Cubao ang pagpapa-PMS sa kanila.

That's the thing. Ang hirap kasi maghanap ng resources online that clearly details the effects of using Euro 4 fuel on non-Euro4 cars, both gasoline and diesel. Sa diesel ata it's a bit of an issue. I read somewhere na yung lower sulfur means less lubrication sa engine? Is the same true for gasoline engines?

normal ba yung loud engine noise ng Wigo (its because 3 cylinder yung makina niya)? and yung squeaking sound kapag itinodo yung steering wheel?

over 1 week pa lang yung wigo BTW. napansin kasi ng driver ng friend ko yung loud noise ng makina (according sa message ng friend ko sa akin, parang diesel na daw yung tunog niya).

mine was a bit noisy at first, and vibrated, too, especially when going up inclines. it sounded like my mom's old motorized sewing machine, and vibrated like our old washing machine.
but things got smoother after the 2 oil changes..
but i never had the steering squeek.
my steering wheel was on the heavy side.. this, coming from a sentra... must be the small diameter of the manibela..

my AT had terrible fuel efficiency at first.. 8 km/li. now, it goes up to 10 km/li if city traffic is not too heavy.

I insisted my friend na huwag munang ipasok sa casa to check that engine noise until I check it and find out the findings for myself.
if proven na sinasabi ng driver na kinuha niya ay may ingay yung makina after checking it, then I will say also na ipasok na siya sa casa. wala pa siyang 1000km BTW.

Try changing your fuel to higher octane. I own a 3-cylinder car as well and I experienced the same noisy engine. Now I'm using Blaze 100 and my engine's much much quieter.

Hmmm, haven't tried Petron Blaze on our Wigo... Maybe if this is what we'll bring to our Baguio trip, I'll test Blaze Oh yeah, and the manual states our Wigo uses the 1KR-DE so it means no VVT-I for ours. Not a deal breaker anyway hehe

so, I will try to fill up fuel with more than 91 octane (Petron's XCS and Blaze; Shell's V-Power Nitro +; and others) and see if performance will be much better (yun nga lang FC will dip AFAIK)

pero when I asked my cousin (and even used the car) kung maingay yung makina ng previous gen Celerio, hindi naman. but I will assess muna yung engine noise ng Wigo this weekend.

i'll try my best to answer it.

wigo feb2014-nov2014
- has only 2 speakers, front doors only

wigo nov2014-nov2015
- has 4 speakers front and back dooor
- the engine has some kind of a cover.
- improved engine - less vibrations daw

wigo nov2016
- same as wigo 2015 but is already euro4 compliant (have something to with cleaner exhaust emissions)

all of them have same looks/design...

Mga sir bago lng ako.dito sa.tsikot, i bought my toyota wigo last december 2015, sa or and cr pati sa sales invoices nakalagay na model 2016 un wigo pero sabi ng agent ko hindi daw euro 4 compliant. Average fc ko is 7km per liter normal ba ito? And nakakapag play b kayo ng usb mp3 ayaw kasi gumana. Wigo G AT pla unit ko
