Mine is 2013 model (2500 KM), may kalampag sa bandang harap ilalim kapag nalulubak lang. I brought it to Suzuki Marcos Hiway. Rack and pinion assy replaced under warranty, usually sasabihin ng SA ay grease repack ng brake calipers. Pero need ko ipaliwanag sa head mechanic para i check iba pang parts sa underchassis.

Nasubukan nyo ba mag palagay ng rubber lifter sa banawe? Nag palagay ako sa for my 08 swift, i feel na naging mas matagtag sya parang nabawasan yung play ng springs. Any one had this experience here? Thanks and happy new year

Ask ko lang kung san kayo nagpapa touch up ng pearl white na 2007? So far, mga nakikita ko kasi ay buong panel daw dapat gawin. May recommended painters kayo?

Lalong tatagtag pag nagpalagay ka ng rubber. Di kasi sir makapaglaro un spring. Much better na patanggal mo n lang sir.

Ang pagkakaalam ko sir un kalamapag na tumutunog sa steering column. But not the rack & pinion assy. Nakafix lang naman sa ilalim yan sir.

*skips ako mismo kasama ng mekaniko kaya kita ko problema. Yung rack n pinion may inner at outer tie rod end yan. Sa akin malaki ang play ng kanan inner joint...yung nsa loob ng rubber boot.kahit fix ang assy may joint yan at may gear na pwede mag ingay kapag gastado na..buong assy pinalitan kahit yan lang ang may tama.

Hello po swift owners,

Me and my wife is on a lookout for a new/replacement car and first in the list is the swift. Not my question are:

1. Is the new swift on the market a CVT or the same old A/T engine with shock (shock when it changes the gear)?
2. How the FC?
3. Availability of parts and accessories locally?

right. warranty is voided once you have your service maintenance done outside of the casa during the warranty period.

Had mine replaced before the warranty expires in 2014/15. Suzuki E. Rod replaced the entire rack & pinion assembly including the 2 stabilizers free of charge. I clocked 13k in my odometer, bought the car in 2012. I noticed that thug sound since day one, I complained about it but they told me to observe it first. No findings or what so ever from the service department I had it checked instead at Servitek & found out the problem. Its a factory defect!

I think Suzuki should be honest enough to admit a recall on this particular defect based on the complains from several owners who experience this kind of problem.

i'm also experiencing this noise.
replacement of bushing ba ang solution?
no need to replace the entire rack and pinion?
any good repair shops that you can recommend?

The casa in E.Rod diagnosed that the rack and pinion should be replaced. The problem was I cannot claim the warranty anymore because I only had the PMS only at the first 1000km. My 2011 Swift had only 18,000km by the way. My regular maintenance (change oil) was done by my neighborhood gas station. I had the bolts tightened as suggested by direk but the problem still persisted. Then I had it serviced at an underchassis specialist.
To my dismay not only was the rack and pinion loose but also the rack end, tie rod end and stabilizer link bushings were also loose. I then had them repaired and the rack and pinion rebushinged. Now, problem solved. No more clunking noises on small potholes. I only hope that it will last. This is my first time having these parts repaired. I usually buy replacement parts (555) on my other cars before and this never happened on our 2004 vios and 2007 city which we bought brand new. I really like the Swift and I think that this problem only occurs to a few of their units. Too bad ours was one of the few. Lesson learned. When buying brand new, have it serviced at the casa to avail of the warranties. Just bear their high costs just for 3 years or 100,000kms, whichever comes first.

had my 2011 swift serviced last saturday at suzuki kalookan, 40k km. they're recommending for a replacement of my rack & pinion, w/c according to the one who had my swift test driven, is a common problem w/ swift model/s... my service advisor didn't guarantee me of a warranty claim, instead he filed a report & told me to follow up this week if it could be covered by the warranty. do i need to demand for a warranty claim?

btw, all my pms are done in suzuki service centers, mostly at suzuki kalookan (once in suzuki shaw, maybe 2x or 3x suzuki pasig)...

Don't quote me on this but I remember asking my SA about this since walang AUX input yung 2013 namin. He said that they can provide AUX input and place it sa compartment pero syempre may bayad hehe.
