Mawalang galang na po pero baseless po itong post na ito... Yaris and rental ko kasi sobrang cheap ng company ko hehe... Anyone staying in the US for a period of time knows na kaya malakas ang Yaris kesa sa Fit on sales is simply because it is being sold as fleet cars sa mga rental cars.
Noted Pidok.
Kaka-contact ko lang sa SA ko to confirm na ipapasa na namin yung quote nya sa company ni misis for bidding. Lo and behold, humabol pa SA namin ng unit discount of P25k. Bale eto na yung quote na nakuha ko:
P789,000 unit cost - P25,000 unit discount = P764,000 total cost
Freebies:
Insurance
LTO registration
3M tint (with full windshield) - P3,500
Back up sensor - P4,500
Window visor - P2,700
Matting
Seat cover
Mukhang panalo na to!
Short lived yung excitement ko![]()
SA called me up a while back informing me that the P25,000 unit discount he told me was for the APV. nalito lang daw sya. In lieu of this, he offered us car cover and key chains instead. Oh well, if it's too good to be true.... probably is. Anyways, considering na cash buyer kami, I think we are getting a good deal already sans the unit discount.
My good high school friend who's now a Suzuki Sales manager made a final offer:
LTO registration
3M tint (with full windshield)
Back up sensor - P4,500
Window visor - P2,700
Matting
Car seat cover
Car cover
Key chains
Body colored spoiler
P25,000 unit discount
Sagot pala ng company ni misis insrance, beside pa yung maintenance for 5yrs, so pinalitan na lang sya ng unit discount. Sana makuha na sila this time.
My rear bumper was severely damaged (long story), and had to be replaced. I'll have it serviced with Wheels (Suzuki E. Rod, my casa) through insurance. However, they said that they don't have a stock of the bumper and would need to have it shipped from Japan. It'll take 45 days, sobrang hassle. I guess this is part of what people are saying regarding Suzuki's after-sales.![]()
The casa in E.Rod diagnosed that the rack and pinion should be replaced. The problem was I cannot claim the warranty anymore because I only had the PMS only at the first 1000km. My 2011 Swift had only 18,000km by the way. My regular maintenance (change oil) was done by my neighborhood gas station. I had the bolts tightened as suggested by direk but the problem still persisted. Then I had it serviced at an underchassis specialist.
To my dismay not only was the rack and pinion loose but also the rack end, tie rod end and stabilizer link bushings were also loose. I then had them repaired and the rack and pinion rebushinged. Now, problem solved. No more clunking noises on small potholes. I only hope that it will last. This is my first time having these parts repaired. I usually buy replacement parts (555) on my other cars before and this never happened on our 2004 vios and 2007 city which we bought brand new. I really like the Swift and I think that this problem only occurs to a few of their units. Too bad ours was one of the few. Lesson learned. When buying brand new, have it serviced at the casa to avail of the warranties. Just bear their high costs just for 3 years or 100,000kms, whichever comes first.
Did you personally check your tierod, balljoints, etc. for looseness? (Did you hold them and tried to shake/move the shafts?) Did you go to Cruven or Zee? Mind you, some of these underchassis specialists shops convince you to have everything repaired even if the parts are still okay. They will try to show you the parts are loose when in fact it's tight as should be.
If the sound from the pot holes can be felt from the steering wheel and there's a little play on the steering and causes a sound underneath, I believe your rack and pinion plunger only needs to be adjusted/tightened.
Question for everyone:
Aside from CASA, where do you (Swift owners) have your cars serviced? And where do you buy parts?
Take Note; Dealership sees your car as a ATM machine. They will always find ways to make money out of it.
Hi goose.
Yes, I personally checked them before I had them repaired. I didn't go to the shops you mentioned.
My answer to your questions:
I have my car serviced (change oil) on my neighborhood gas station (Caltex) and since I already voided my warranty I'll have it repaired by my trusty mechanic. I just hope it will be in the next 5 years or so.
For the parts, I had a hard time looking for replacement air filter and aircon filter so I ended up buying these parts at the casa. For my other cars I find the brand Federal Mogul to be better and hope that they will have one suited for my swift next time I ask.
Question also for other suzuki owners:
1. Does anyone know where I can buy a KNN drop in filter for my 2011 Swift?
2. Is the gas consumption computer on our cars accurate?
3. Where do you buy your parts? Original and replacement.
Thanks
may dzire swift thread po ba para saming in tight budget? good buy po ba toh mga bro?
I'm having the exact same problem. At first we thought it was the rack end then when the mechanic checked it, it was the bushing daw inside the rack and pinion (which I'm not sure what that is). I know someone na taga-Suzuki plant sa laguna, they're not familiar sa part na yun. They're asking me to replace the full assembly which is worth 35k. Deym! Buti nalang I saw the comments on this page. I'm planning to have it checked sa Cruven this weekend. Ask ko lang sir how much nagastos niyo all in all?
By the way, I also have the Suzuki Swift 2011. Also got it from Wheels Suzuki in E.Rod, grabe really bad service. Matagal ko na nirereklamo yung "kalampag", none of them seem to fix everytime I had my car serviced. Finally nung 30,000km check up, sa labas ko na pinagawa. Then, there the mechanic saw the problem with the rack and pinion. I would really appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!
Mga Sir,
I recently got a second hand 08 Swift. Pa advice lang sana ako, from stop point at papatakbuhin ko sya ng bigla i hear this sound na parang sumasabit. Oina check ko sa mekaniko and he said na its the engine support na everytime sudden move ng engine yun yung tumutunog. May naka experience na ba nito? and is it advisable to use replacement parts? where do you advise to buy also? Im checking Olympia as one of the options.
On another note, If i want to upgrade the stock radio. May suggestion ba kayo kung saan ok pagawa?
Salamat

If you're still under warranty, meaning that you had your Swift serviced at the casa every PMS, tell Suzuki E.Rod to have their test driver drive your car and come along with him. Let him drive around and point out the noise during bumps. The test driver was the one who confirmed that the rack and pinion's bushing was making the noise at my car. He also told me that they have replaced rack and pinions on a few units just like ours. Although he also said that it was not that common. Anyway, if your warranty is already void, you can have your rack and pinion rebushinged. You can have it done at cruven or zee's. I had mine done by Jervis. Located in Aurora Blvd. between betty go and balete drive I think. Well I hope this helps.

Had mine replaced before the warranty expires in 2014/15. Suzuki E. Rod replaced the entire rack & pinion assembly including the 2 stabilizers free of charge. I clocked 13k in my odometer, bought the car in 2012. I noticed that thug sound since day one, I complained about it but they told me to observe it first. No findings or what so ever from the service department I had it checked instead at Servitek & found out the problem. Its a factory defect!
I think Suzuki should be honest enough to admit a recall on this particular defect based on the complains from several owners who experience this kind of problem.![]()
