The TS must like tight spaces because a Jimny is something like a phone booth inside, just barely enough space to fit four people shoulder to shoulder.

I would have preferred to use a Honda Jazz (1st or 2nd gen) if I need to transport a bike. You can fit a whole bike or two inside a Jazz without need to remove the front wheel. Just roll the entire bike when the Jazz's rear seats have been folded down.

I drive a Nissan Patrol on weekdays, but on weekends, I can't wait to hop on the Jimny!

So far it's pretty stock. Just changed the HU to a Pioneer DEH2050MP. The former owner had put in a V12 amp, tweeters, and self-powered sub already. Outside, I removed the roofrack crossbar of the former owner (left the OEM roof rails in place), removed the bulky sidesteps also (from the former owner), and had the OEM accesory full tire cover repainted (the whole tire is covered unlike the rim-cover only of that comes standard).

Also running those big Bosch horns, OEM Cibie foglamps, Raybrig roof rail lamp over the driver's door. That's about it. Under the cargo floor lurks some emergency supplies like tow straps and jumper cables.

One tip, Takumi. If you're gonna spend some more for your Jimny, try OME shocks and coils. I'm sure you're gonna love to drive it more.

Sir meron ako unang tiningnan sa Rockwell, 60000 km odo reading Silver M/T, all power siya and naka mags na. Actually naka post siya sa dito sa Tsikot car finder.

Congrats! may nagpalit dito sa forum, I think larshell, inabot ata around 36k OME coils and shocks. Procomp steering damper is around 3800. Procomp fluid shocks around 3500 each.(about a year ago though)

Thanks! galing ako kanina sa RIDE banawe. Walang stock ng procomp steering damper. Oorder pa raw, 3800 nga price niya. Ung ProComp ES1000 series damper 2500 yata ang price. Then dumeretso ako sa RATS, binigyan ako ng quote: Shocks 4200 ea + 1000 labor. Coils 5000 ea + 1800 labor.
Question on shocks: which is better, OME or Procomp?

Well, I'm not an expert pero what I've heard softer ang ride sa fluid than gas shocks. YMMV. I've yet to upgrade my shocks, mostly city and occasional rough roads lang ride ko e. no trails for me..... yet.

Procomp or OME? Which is better? It's difficult to say. I have Procomps for my everest and they're comfortable. I have OME for my Jimny and they're comfortable too. One big advantage of OME is the availability of the coils and the Procomps have none. The coils add 1 3/4 inches of lift which makes the Jimny more off-roadable. Besides, OME suspension is noted for it's R&D on specific vehicles, meaning the coils and shocks are really meant for your particular vehicle. Procomp doesn't have this. In addition, OME gives a 2 year warranty while Procomp only 1.

I have no regrets in choosing OME for my baby.

The only advantage of Procomp is it's price. ES1000, Ride's recommended model, is only 2,500 ea.

Filmars was closed due to the long holiday. So I went to Banawe and luckily, Links suzuki parts was open. I had a local mechanic change the kinpin bearings and everything is okay now.

Zuk parts aren't expensive as other people said. They're comparable with the other Jap brands, except Honda

Bossing, how much are the king pin bearings. My jimny has the same problem as yours (had). And di naman mahirap palitan?

I dont own an Alto but i have a friend who owns one... so far he has not encountered any obstacle in the "city" that the Alto did not go over ... its not that bad on occasional city floods a little bit higher than the ankles either... the ground clearance is quite high for a small car... not as high as the Jimny though but high enough for any city road obstacle ...its a pretty decent car for the common tao or shall we say the average citizen who can't afford any car more expensive than the Alto... but its not really that cheap either considering there are still a lot of people who really can't afford them.

Given the working budget I had at the time, it was either a brand new Alto or a used (and less expensive) Jimny. I took the risk of the used Jimny since I'm already familiar with acquiring used cars. The Jimny's price was also cheaper than the Alto (the only disadvantage being the full amount had to be paid in full ).

i own an old nissan sentra 1.4 SE m/t... i really dont care if its old... i dont feel anyshame driving it... i bought it cheap too.. even cheaper than the Alto... i guess it all comes down to the persons subjective well being.

Yup, there's a red 1.4 JX languishing at the hospital. Belongs to my girlfriend's dad who traded up to a Vios XX. I used to drive it for errands. I love that car, too.
