June 24th, 2004 06:52 AM #112i have a jimny. yun nga lang my sis is using it now in manila. pang baha.
its a very enjoyable car. (except for the bumpy ride) would definitely recommend it for offroading. good DOHC engine. nice view from the cockpit. big side mirrors. great mini 4x4.

January 9th, 2006 12:00 PM #116I've had my jimny for about 2 years now. Recently, ang taas ng cas consumption ko. A full tank (40L) only runs for around 260KM. Thats like, 6.5 to a liter lang. The only known prob si my stabilizer links which are loose na but d naman daw yun problem.
Also, gusto ko sana palitan yung air filter ko with K&Ns. I've asked around and the drop in K&N model for the Jimny isnt available locally.
Last, meron bang Jimny club dito sa pinas?

First of all, don't bother with the filter, sobrang marginal lang diff nyan sa OEM, sayang lang pera mo.
Lalo na Cone type, don't bother.
As for your consumption, have you followed regular PMS na? If so, check your tire pressure din, malaking bagay ang tire pressure sa consumo esp with big, heavy tires like yours.

If your regular maintenance items are okay (no oil in water, sparkplugs not fouled, etc...) I'd also suggest checking your exhaust. Any holes can cause a huge drop in fuel economy.
